Ramana's fresh thoughts

He is a young hero with lots of potential. Unfortunately both his films have bombed at the box office. This actor Ramana, who however managed to hog the limelight by scoring a century in the Kollywood Star Cricket match, is confident of staging a comeback. Currently shooting for Ezhudhiyadhaaradi, Ramana says, now I have got few movies on hand which are different from each other. I am hopeful that they click. His Thunichal along with Arun Kumar will be released shortly. Also, he has signed for a movie titled Alayam which would see him playing the role of macho-man. 'Only if it's a good character, I will accept', says Ramana.

Happy Ramana raring to go

"It took 10 films for me to be part of a successful venture", says Ramana, who played the lead role alongside J K Ritheesh in 'Nayagan'. Son of yesteryear actor Vijay Babu, Ramana said, "Though I took to acting a few years ago and played lead roles in over ten films, I have finally tasted success with 'Nayagan'. The movie has managed a good opening all over the State. All credit should go to the director". 'I worked really hard to get here and I am enjoying every moment of my success', he said and added, 'ever since Nayagan was conceived, I worked with director Saravana Sakthi as assistant director, assistant cameraman and assistant screenplay writer. We knew that the movie if made properly would click'. Eagerly awaiting the release of his next venture 'Thunichal' in which he plays a psycho, Ramana says, 'Director Majeedh has extracted the best from me. I play the lead role with Arun Vijay in the movie'. "I will henceforth choose movies with utmost care. Success has changed me a lot. New role for Ramana

Remember director Ramana. He made it big with his maiden directorial venture 'Thirumalai' starring Vijay. However he could not continue his success streak as his next films including 'Sullan' and 'Aathi' sunk without a trace at the box office. Now he joins the long list of directors taking to action. He is all set to don the greasepaint, that too as a villain. Sources have it that the filmmaker would do the baddie in a film to be directed by Vijay's father S A Chandrasekaran. Meanwhile, Ramana is also gearing up to direct a movie with an up and coming actor in the lead.

Amala’s Bollywood debut with ARM’s Ramana

Amala Paul, the most happening actress down the South is reported to be debuting into Bollywood with AR Murugadoss directed Ramana. To be directed by Krish, Akshay Kumar will play the protagonist in this film. Amala seems to be impressed with the narration of Krish, as the revised script has single heroine unlike the original that casts Simran and Ashima opposite Vijaykanth. Earlier we heard the names of Shruti Haasan and Ileana to don the female lead in Ramana remake, but Amala Paul is expected to sign the dotted line soon. Equally famous in Kollywood and Tollywood, post Vijay’s Thalaivaa Amala is busy with Dhanush’s Velai Illa Pttathari along with bilingual Nimirndhu Nil, Janda Pi Kapiraju in Tamil and Telugu opposite Jayam Ravi and Nani respectively.
