Ram Gopal Varma, Mohan Babu's Rowdy film have wrapped up the censor formalities and the film has been cleared with A certification from the board members. Rowdy is now set for a grand scale release on April 4 and the film willl release with English subtitles. Vishnu Manchu, Jayasudha, Shanvi are also part of the movie. Mohan Babu, Vishnu will be seen in different looks in the film. RGV's Rowdy film is set in the Rayalaseema region backdrop and the film is said to be an action entertainer. Parthasarathy, Gajendra and Vijaykumar of AV Pictures produced the film and 24 Frames Factory is presenting it. Music is by Sai Karthik.
Rowdy gets big US release, hits over 50 multiplexes
Vishnu Manchu's production house 24 Frames Factory will release his Telugu action-drama "Rowdy" in over 50 multiplexes Thursday. Indian audiences abroad can watch the film for a price of $10. "Rowdy", directed by Ram Gopal Varma, features Mohan Babu, Vishnu Manchu. "Rowdy's interest has grown beyond India and the excitement for the film in America has brought more cheer for its distributor 24 Frames Factory. Over 50 plus multiplexes in the US have zeroed in to screen the film," read a statement from the production house. "It is a big moment for the Telugu film industry as the moviegoers in the US are raring to go and watch the most anticipated Telugu film this summer with its big pre-release buzz gaining global momentum. So, we wanted to ensure that the audiences in the US experience the magnificence of the film's intense drama, action and song sequences in top notch multiplex cinemas," the statement added. The price of the film's tickets is not inflated. "The biggest surprise of all is that the show tickets are not inflated. Incredible as it may seem, you can walk into the top and best multiplex and buy 'Rowdy' movie ticket for $10," read the statement. Set against the faction-ridden backdrop of Rayalaseema, "Rowdy" releases in India Friday. It also features Jayasudha, Kishore, Ravi Babu and Shanvi Srivastav.
'State Rowdy' in post-production
The shooting of 'State Rowdy' (Veedikantha Scene Ledu) directed by Vikram Gandhi and produced by Kattekota Srinivas and JV Umamaheswara Rao on the banner of Galaxy Multimedia with Sivaji as hero, Madhushalini and Mallikakapoor as heroines was completed recently. Presently post-production works are in progress. The film is being made as a total entertainer and the film has all the elements that could attract not only the mass audiences but also the family circles. MM Srilekha scored melodious tunes for the flick. It is the remake of a successful Tamil film 'Yediri'. However, in the Telugu version, comedy was given preference than the action part. Chandramohan, Venumadhav, MS Narayana, Krishna Bhagawan, Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao, Jeeva, Lakshmipati, Subbaraju, Ramireddy, Kadambari Kiran, Gundu Sudarshan, Santosh Pawan, Chitram Sreenu, Hema, Rajitha and others are in the cast. Camera is by Vasu, action is by Ram-Lakshman.
'State Rowdy' completes shooting
The shooting of 'State Rowdy' with a tagline 'Veediki Anta Scene Ledu' directed by Vikram Gandhi and jointly produced by Kattekola Srinivas and JV Uma Maheswara Rao on the banner of Galaxy Multimedia with Sivaji as hero and Mallika Kapoor as heroine was completed recently. Presently dubbing work is in progress. The audio of the film would be launched in a week's time through a popular music company. The film, which is being made as a total entertainer, has several other elements that could attract not only mass audiences, but also the family audiences. MM Srilekha scored music for the movie. In fact, the film is the remake of a successful Tamil film 'Yediri'. There are five songs in the movie. Of them two were choreographed in Araku Valley, two others were shot in specially erected sets and one song was canned at various locales of Hyderabad. Camera is by B Vasu, action is by Ram-Lakshman, while story is by Kamalesh.
'State Rowdy' ready for release in Oct
Shooting and post-production formalities were complete for 'State Rowdy' (Veedikantha Scene Ledu) directed by Vikram Gandhi and produced by Kattekola Srinivas and JV Umamaheswara Rao on the banner of Galaxy Media with Sivaji, Mallika Kapoor and Madhushalini in the lead. The first copy of the film is also ready. MM Srilekha scored music for the movie. Producers say, 'There is a very good response to the audio which was released into the market recently. We are making efforts to release the film in the first week of October.' It is worth mentioning here that 'State Rowdy' with Padma Bhushan, Mega Star, Dr Chiranjeevi in the lead was released some time ago and it was a blockbuster during those days.
Sivajis 'State Rowdy' slated for Nov 1 release
The shooting for State Rowdy ' Veedikinta Scene Ledu is complete and the post production work is presently on. The film starring Sivaji is said to be an out and out entertainer. The film-makers are trying to complete the film for a November 1 release, which happens to the AP Formation Day. Mallika Kapoor and Madhushalini will play the female lead. Kattekola Srinivas and F V Uma Maheshwar Rao are producing the film which is being directed by Vikram Gandhi.
