Tamil superstar Vijay-starrer "Thalaivaa", which has been dubbed in Telugu as "Anna", is 2 hours and 50 minutes long. Kasi Vishwanath, who has produced the Telugu film, says the lengthy running time of a movie is not a problem when a star actor is associated with it. "Running time shouldn't be a problem for star films as they have a face value. Audiences come to watch their films because most of our stars are crowd-pullers and, moreover, if the content is good, then people don't mind sitting in a cinema for a longer time," Vishwanath said. "So many star films in the past have been three hours long, but audiences never had a problem watching them. But what is important is that whether the film has a strong story to keep the audiences hooked throughout the film," he added. Directed by A.L Vijay, "Anna" is releasing along with its Tamil version on Friday. It also features Amala Paul, Ragini Nandwani, Santhanam and Abhimanyu Singh in important roles. He is confident of the success of "Anna". "Now that Pawan Kalyan's film is out of the race, I'm confident that 'Anna' will do well. Vijay has a very good market in Telugu. This is a powerful political film and I'm sure it wouldn't disappoint the audiences," said Vishwanath, who has earlier produced Telugu film "Krishna". Vijay's last two Tamil films "Nanban" and "Thuppakki", which were also dubbed in Telugu, turned out to be duds.
Crisp Run Time to benefit Supreme
'Supreme' passed the Censor test with an 'U/A' Certificate and the film is gearing up for grand release on May 5th. The Censor Certificate doing rounds on social media is spreading the positive vibe already. With a crisp run time of 142 minutes, 'Supreme' guarantees a paisa vasool entertainment. Most of the noted films released in the past one year have been released with an run time of more than 150 minutes. On most occasions, Audience complained those film would have fared well if trimming was perfect. 'Supreme' mayn't face such criticism as Makers made sure there was no lag what-so-ever. Dil Raju & Co. were confident of regaining lost glory with 'Supreme' success. The seasoned producer will be releasing the movie in Nizam & Vizag on his own hoping it will be a money spinner.
'Sanikudu' runs successfully in Andhra and US
The Maheshbabu-Trisha starrer 'Sainikudu' directed by Gunasekhar and produced by C Aswinidutt on the banner of 'Vyjayanti Movies' was released on November 30 across the world and is running successfully. As Maheshbabu's earlier flick 'Pokiri' created a record overseas, there was a good craze on 'Sainikudu' abroad. In order to please his fans staying abroad, Maheshbabu had gone to the US to take part in the premiere show of 'Sainikudu'. He says, 'I had a strong feeling that I am amidst Telugu audiences in Andhra and not in the US. The audiences had proved the greatness of Telugus even while staying abroad. I am sure that 'Sainikudu' would enthrall one and all. It is running successfully right from small towns and villages where the film hit the screen in Andhra Pradesh and the same is the case with abroad. I thank everyone for their cooperation in this regard and I am dedicating the success of the film to the audiences. If I get a chance, I will again visit the US and meet the Telugus here.'
Tempers running high at Khaidi No 150 Event
Tension prevailed at the venue of 'Khaidi No.150' pre-release event even before it began. Pawan Fans are desperate for catching the glimpse of Powerstar at this event. However, PK didn't confirm if he would be present for the event or gives it a miss so far. Few Hardcore If the buzz is to be believed, Fans of Powerstar warned the reaction won't be normal if Pawan Kalyan doesn't attend the event. Majority of the Fans are hopeful of Pawan Kalyan's presence at 'Khaidi No.150' function. On Saturday, PK joined the shoot of 'Katamarayudu' near Golconda, Hyderabad. He might take a break from afternoon and catch a special flight to reach Guntur by evening (around 4 PM).'Khaidi No.150' Boss-is-Back Event is scheduled to take place at Haailand in Guntur from 7 PM on Saturday.
Run Antony Releasing On July 1
Vinay Rajkumar's most expected thriller Run Antony is gearing up for a grand release on July 1, throughout the state. This is Vinay Rajkumar's second outing after his debut Siddharth. Raghu Shastry is making his debut through this movie, and he has worked on the story and screenplay as well. He has worked as an associate director for a few big names in Bollywood and his narration impressed Raghavendra Rajkumar in the first go itself. Raghu Shastry, has also penned lyrics for a few movies including Pawan Kumar's Lucia, in the past. Music composed by Manikanth Kadri was released to the market recently, through Anand Audio and a few songs were liked by music lovers. The song sung by Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar has been given a thumbs up apart from the melody song. The lyrics are penned by Dr V Nagendra Prasad, Jayanth Kaikini and director Raghu Shastry. The teaser that was released last month, along withe the music album have already raised expectations of the audience. Trade pundits expect this movie to do the same what movies like U Turn,Thithi, Godhi Banna Sadharna Mykattu and Karvva did in the last month. Team has already kick-started the promotional campaign through all the mediums. #IRunAway Video campaign on social media is big hit and stars like Puneeth Rajkumar, Jaggesh, Radhika Pandit, Prajwal Devaraj, Su Ni and many others have posted their videos on social media and wished success for the team. Smt Dr. Parvathamma Rajkumar, Raghavendra Rajkumar and Guru Rajkumar are producing the flick under their banner Sri Vajreshwari Hospitalities. Manohar Joshi and Karm Chawla are the directors of photography. Esham Khan and Haseen Khan are the editors. The movie may be released through Vajreshwari banner, which has distributed a number of blockbusters in the past. The movie has to face stiff competition from Ganesh and Radhika Pandit's Zoom and Vijay Raghavendra-Nidhi Subbaiah's Nanna Ninna Premakathe which is scheduled for release on same date.
