Ganesh-Deepa Sannidhi starrer 'Sakkare' being produced by B Suresha and directed by Abhay Simha is all ready to release and on Saturday the audio of the film was released.B Suresha had organised a mega function at the Kuvempu Kalakshetra and actor-producer-director V Ravichandran as the chief guest to release the audio of the film while Anu Prabhakar, Yogaraj Bhatt, Jayanth Kaikini, Neethoo, K Manju and others walked in to witness the audio release and wish the team a huge success. A lot of song and dance programmes was also organised and Ganesh, Deepa Sannidhi, Yajna Shetty, Neethoo, Narayanaswamy amongst others danced to the tunes of the songs.
Sakkare and Sweety Release Clash?
If sources are to be believed then Ganesh starrer 'Sakkare' being produced by B Suresha and Radhika's 'Sweety' may compete with each other and is likely to release on the same day. Both the films are now being scheduled for a September 13th release across Karnataka. Earlier it was being said that 'Sakkare' will release on the 06th of September while 'Sweety' was scheduled for September 13th release. But it seems doubtful of 'Sakkare' to get released on 06th as the film has not yet got a Censor Board. The Censor is likely to watch the film next week, after which the film's release date will be announced offically. Sources say, if not on 06th, 'Sakkare' will be released on 13th hereby competing with 'Sweety'.
Sakkare Has Three Love Stories
If you think this week's release has only one love story of Ganesh and Deepa Sannidhi, then you are certainly gone for a toss because, the film has not one but three love stories woven into one. The first story comprises of Ganesh and Deepa Sannidhi. The second love story is between Ananthnag and Vinayaprasad. Even before the duo acted as an old pair in Nagatihalli Chandrashekhar's new tele serial 'Nityothsava', the duo had acted as an old pair in 'Sakkare'. The last pair comprises of Nataranga Rajesh and Anu Prabhakar. Both Rajesh and Anu had acted as a pair in Rajendra Singh Babu's 'Mohini'. With three love stories woven in one film, it has to be seen that which among the three love stories attracts the audience.
Sakkarakatti a song costs 2 C!
Recently director Kala Prabhu shot a song sequence, based on a unique concept in Prasad studio for the movie. The song portrays New York City after 500 years. The song with such an incredible idea is for 'Sakkarakatti' that features Bhagyaraj's son Shanthanu in the lead. Vedhika is acting as his pair. The film has the music by none other than A.R. Rahman. Shanthanu and Vedhika were dancing around with a lot of French girls for the song. The song, which would cost two crore rupees, will be shot for 10 days, informs the director. The movie, which has been in the making for quite some time, is growing fast. It is expected to be released by March-April. The young hero Shanthanu is expecting the movie for a break in his career.
'Sakkarakatti' audio from June
The much awaited of 'Sakkarakatti', set to tunes by A R Rahman will be released this June. The movie starring Bhakiyaraj's son Santhanu in the lead role is produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu. His son Prabhu is directing the movie. Interestingly the movie's audio track has six songs which is a mix of classical and hip-hop numbers. We have completed canning the talkie portion. Only one song has to be shot. It will be completed soon. Rahman has come up with a catchy musical score and is sure the USP of this youthful enntertainer, says Prabhu.
'Sakkarakatti' audio release on July 11
The much awaited audio release of the movie 'Sakkarakatti' with music by one of India's finest talents A. R. Rahman is slated to take place on the 11th of July. The Tamil film industry is abuzz with excitement with the fact that extensive graphics are being created for the movie's song sequences, which is literally running close to a year. Reports also suggest that a crore of rupees have been spent for picturizing just one song. The intensity and effectiveness of the songs composed by A. R. Rahman is said to be the reason behind the filmmakers' going through such an effort. Another interesting piece of information is that A. R. Rahman has hummed for a song titled 'Maruthanni' which has been rendered by Madhushree. It can be recalled that all the songs that have the musician's humming have gone on to be huge chart toppers like 'Chinna Chinna Aasai' in 'Roja' and 'Sanda Kozhi' in 'Aayutha Ezhuthu'. 'Sakkarakatti' has Santhanu, son of writer, director, actor K. Bhagyaraj as hero and yet another film personality's (Kalaipuli Dhanu) son Kalaprabhu as the director. Ishita and Vedhika play the leading ladies and the film is produced by Kalaipuli Dhanu.
