Saravanan, who made a come back with Paruthi Veeran, is bubbling with joy. The actor, who played the lead role in many films, disappeared from the Tamil film scene, only to bounce back with a bang in Ameer's Paruthi Veeran. Saravanan played uncle to Karthi in Paruthi Veeran. His performance won admiration from all quarters. Today, Saravanan is back in the hunt with several offers coming his way. A happy Saravanan says, 'I thank Ameer for keeping faith in me and giving me an opportunity to play a prominent role in Paruthi Veeran. It was a challenging role and thanks to Ameer, I could do it well.' After Paruthi Veeran, over a dozen offers have come his way. But the actor is very conscious about choosing his forthcoming films. Says Saravanan, 'I am keen on choosing good, quality scripts. My long absence from filmdom has taught me several lessons. I will strive to sustain the new-found image.'
Saravanan gets a new lease of life
After the spectacular success of Paruthiveeran, offers are pouring in for Saravanan. He made his debut as hero a few years ago. But a slew of failures halted his progress. Thanks to Ameer's Paruthiveeran, his career was back on track. He played the prominent role of Sithappu in the movie and his performance was widely acclaimed. The movie's success brought a fresh lease of life to him. He is currently acting in Veeramum Eeramum directed by Sanjay Ram. Also a couple of big offers are on its way. Meanwhile, Saravanan has agreed to do a movie for Sanjay Ram again. After completing Veeramum Eeramum, the two will come together for their next titled Othaiku Othai. It would be an action-packed entertainer and is also inspired by a real-life incident, quite like Sanjay Ram's earlier ventures.
Saravanan in an interesting role
After the resounding success of 'Paruthi Veeran', actor Saravanan will be playing a Boom Boom Maatukkaran in the film 'Vannakkamma'. Vishnupriyan joins him in this film that talks about two young boys who go to jail and come out only to see a friendless and indifferent world and yet they have to eek out a living somehow. They start looting houses coming in different disguises and that is where the fun probably is. Initially the writer and director of the film Anbu Thennarasu had the troublesome duo don the costumes of Lord Ram and Hanuman. Hindu organizations objected to it and the director re-shot the scene using the Boom Boom Maatukkaran getup. A debutante by name Swathika plays the heroine and will be joined by Madan Bob and Vennira Aadai Moorthy in interesting roles. Music is by Srikanth Deva and camera work by Balamurali.
