Suddenly the industry is all talk of Shiva 2006 (Policule Nerasthulaithe). The movie is a revisit (of sorts) of the original hit Shiva of the 80s by Ram Gopal Verma. It was almost a cult classic when it was launched and it set Nagarjuna on the path to stardom. Now, Shiva 2006 is all set to have its audio released. The news is that the Ilayaraja has been asked to use some of classic scores of the 80s for the movie. A couple of songs from Gitanjali and Shiva (both Nagarjuna hits) will find their way to this list. The audio will be released on August 11 while the film will release on August 25. Mohit and Amoha (Nisha Kothari in Hindi) play the main leads in the movie.
Shiva reference in title of Mahesh Babu’s next movie
The makers of superstar Mahesh Babu’s next Telugu-Tamil bilingual outing haven’t finalised the title yet because it needs to have a Shiva reference, a source said. “They want Shiva reference in the title. Even though ‘Agent Shiva’ was one of their initial choices, they decided to not go with it as it won’t suit the Tamil version. Hence, they’re currently looking for a title that will go well with both the versions of the film,” a source from the film’s unit told IANS. Being directed by A.R. Murugadoss, the film’s shoot is currently progressing in Ahmedabad. “The Gujarat schedule will go on till December 23. They will also briefly shoot in Pune. The team is currently shooting some breathtaking action scenes, and it also features a bomb blast episode,” he said. In the film, Mahesh Babu will be seen as an Intelligence officer. While SJ Suryah plays the antagonist, Rakul Preet Singh is playing the leading lady
Traces of 'Shiva' in 'Janatha Garage'?
Currently, entire Tollywood is waiting for the audio launch of 'Janatha Garage'. This is the first big Telugu film after 'Brahmotsavam'. There is a lot of hype over this film. As the audio release is getting closer, the makers are releasing new posters every day. Most of the posters portray NTR in an intense look. We know that NTR will be seen as an IIT student in this film along with Samantha and Nitya Menon. Teaser suggests that he enters Mohanlal's Janatha Garage and start repairing the society. The reason behind an IIT graduate turning into a rowdy forms the crux of the story. We have seen many films with which run on similar lines. Ram Gopal Varma's 'Shiva' was the first film to start this trend. But, narration plays the crucial role any film's success. We've seen many films with routine content becoming hit because of its fresh treatment. Hope 'Janatha Garage' which had intense posters, shows the same intensity in the film too and becomes a blockbuster.

His 'Agent Gop', which hit on screens in 1978, was a super hit then. If the ongoing buzz is anything to go by, Prince Mahesh's next film's title has been confirmed as 'Agent Shiva'. It's going to be common title for both Telugu and Tamil versions. Since Krishna played James Bond role in 'Agent Gopi', Mahesh may also be shown with similar characterization as an IB officer in 'Agent Shiva'. The makers have invested a large lump sum of Rs.100 crores on this action entertainer. Rakul Preet Singh has played romantic interest of Mahesh in the movie. The movie's music is being scored by Harris Jairaj. Tagore Madhu and NV Prasad producing this Murugadoss' directorial.
'Shiva' is simply heart stopping
After having a look at the sneak preview of Ram Gopal Verma's upcoming release 'Shiva', the only term that comes to mind to describe the flick is - HEARTSTOPPING. It won't be an understatement to say that the violence in the movie is much more horrifying than even those horror films that come from FACTORY. Gruesome, dark but real - the violence in the film is heavily disturbing and makes even the steel hearted melt. Especially terrifying is the opening scene of the promo that shows a rowdy hit a nail on a person while other goons surrounding him blindfold him so that he doesn't see his end coming. Starring the 'James' pair of Mohit Ahlawat and Nisha Kothari, the dialogues, treatment and shot execution are true in RGV style and make one nostalgic about the vintage director's touch!
