More news →'Subramanyam for Sale' mints over Rs. 12.5 crore in five days
Actor Sai Dharam Tej-starrer Telugu action-drama "Subramanyam for Sale" is turning out to be a sleeper hit. The film has already collected over Rs.12.5 crore worldwide in the first five days since its release. "The film has done exceptionally well, considering it stars Sai Dharam Tej, who is just three films old. By this weekend, the film is expected to break even in all areas," trade analyst Trinath told. Produced on a budget of approximately Rs.16 crore by Dil Raju, the film has also fetched a whopping Rs.3.7 crore through satellite rights. "The producer is going to pocket profits worth Rs.4 crore," Trinath said. Directed by Harish Shankar, the film also stars Regina Cassandra and Adah Sharma in important roles.
Ravi Teja, Harish Shankar’s next Subrahmanyam for Sale
Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja is all set to act in Harish Shankar’s direction yet again. The duo has earlier worked together for a couple of films Shock and Mirapakaya. Though their first film Shock resulted as a flop, Ravi Teja has offered the second chance to direct him trusting in Harish Shankar’s direction skills and finally, the results turned out to be fruitful with Mirapakaya. Now, the director has penned another romantic entertainer, which suits Ravi Teja and titled it as Subrahmanyam For Sale. Ramesh Puppala, who made Mirapakaya will produce the film on his Yellow Flowers banner. The official announcement of the film is expected to be made in the 100 days function of their prior project Mirapakaya. Currently, Harish Shankar is busy in the works of his forthcoming project Gabbar Singh with Pawan Kalyan, while Ravi Teja is shooting for his Veera.
Yevade Subrahmanyam Director signs up Vijay Devarakonda
When he played a bit role in 'Life Is Beautiful', Vijay Devarakonda went unnoticed. When Yevade Subrahmanyam's director cast him instead of a star, he was bound to be roped in by many. However, he didn't land sexy offers. He bid his time, rejecting one bad script after another. Finally, 'Pelli Choopulu' happened this season. He is not going to look back now. The first film he has officially signed up since Pelli Choopulu's release is to be directed by Nandini Reddy, who has directed 'Ala Modalaindi', 'Jabardasth' and 'Kalyana Vaibhogame' in the past. Vijay is reportedly her next hero, while the female lead's role will be played by Malavika Nair (of 'Yevade Subrahmanyam' and 'Kalyana Vaibhogame' fame). Besides this one, Vijay must surely have been offered a number of other projects by important names. He is currently filming for 'Arjun Reddy'.

His first directed serial in DD Telugu was titled as 'Anaganaga Oka Shobha'. Recently, he started his own production house and made the series 'Anando Brahma'. The episodes were adorned by the Telugu audience, bagging him the ©clat of fame. Being a talented person, the silver screen of Telugu cinema graced this ace performer. This multi talented actor is also recognized as a writer and director. He seldom slips a chance to exhibit his expertise in modulating the dialogue and in performance. U certificate for Santhosh Subramaniyam
Jayam Ravi starrer 'Santhosh Subramaniyam' will go to floors this week-end. Directed by M Raja, the movie featuring Genelia opposite Jayam Ravi will be released worldwide with over 200 prints. Recently the movie was censored and it obtained the 'U' certificate for a clean entertainment. Both Ravi and Genelia are hoping a lot on the movie's fortunes at the box-office. Prakash Raj, who plays Ravi's father in the movie, has reportedly come out with an excellent performance. The movie has musical score by Devi Sri Prasad and the songs are already a hit among the masses. The bondage between a father and a son has been beautifully portrayed and that has impressed the board members very much. Going by the spontaneous and overwhelming responses by the board members, the movie has come out as a perfect family entertainer. This is said to be a memorable film for everyone concerned. Santhanam and Premji Gangai Amaran are also in the cast.
Subramaniam Siva’s next after Seedan
Seedan director Subramaniam Siva is all set to start his next film. He earlier made films like Thiruda Thiruda and Yogi which turned out to be successful. Now by taking no break after Seedan, he is going to make his next film which is going to be a complete different film. The director says “The film will be on the script which is never touched in Tamil cinema and I will be making the details official once Seedan hits the silver screens.” I extremely thank Dhanush for his acceptance of doing a cameo role in the film.
