Radhakrishna who wrote the story for NTR starrer Krishnavamsi directed Rakhi is not happy man these days. He feels he was shunned away from the credit that he deserves for the film. He burst out his pent up feelings at audio release of Laila Majnu to which he was invited as a guest. 'Many success meets and felicitation functions were held regarding Rakhi. In none of the functions I was invited on to the stage. Rakhi is the result of a decade of burning in my mind and heart. Atrocities against women made me to pen down the story. The saddest thing is that a rascal who harassed his wife was invited on to the stage in one of the functions. It is bad,' Radhakrishna uttered his anguish.
Popular writer Bhamidipati Radhakrishna passes away
Noted playwright, film scriptwriter, numerologist and astrologer Bhamidipati Radhakrishna passed away at 11.45 am on Tuesday, i.e., September 4. He is 78. Surprisingly, he noted down the date of his death in his diary '€” 'I will ring the bell on September 4'. It was this astrologer and numerologist who changed the name of Kan Kennedy as Vikram and made him to achieve a blockbuster like 'Aparichitudu'. Several of his works including play-lets and stage plays written by him in Telugu were translated in Kannada, Tamil and Hindi languages. Noted artiste, the late Rao Gopala Rao, came to limelight with Bhamidipati's play 'Keerthi Seshulu'. The first film of 'Kala Tapaswi' K Viswanath, 'Atma Gouravam' was based on a story penned by Bhamidipati. He penned stories for over 150 films including Brahmachari, Kathanayakudu, Vichitra Kutumbam, Palleturi Bava, Govula Gopanna, Naari Naari Naduma Murari, College Bullodu.' Telugu writer Satyamurthy passes away
Popular Telugu writer G. Satyamurthy, father of southern composer Dev Sri Prasad, breathed his last here on Monday after a heart attack, a family source said. He was 61. "He suffered a heart attack and passed away this morning at his residence," the source told. Having started his career as a lyricist, Satyamurthy turned screenwriter with 1982 Telugu film "Devatha". Some of his other popular films include "Khaidi No. 786", "Abhilasha", "Police Lockup" and "Challenge". He is survived by his wife and two sons. The last rites will be performed later on Monday.
Hollywood writer to save Tamanna
Apparently Tamanna is on the verge of losing her stardom as none of the big stars are right now roping her for their next films. Her solo stint as "Abhinetri", a horror movie under AL Vijay's direction that has Prabhudeva in the lead, is the biggest deciding film in hand. Director AL Vijay has revealed that Hollywood screen writer Paul Aaron (The Miracle worker, 1979, fame) is his partner to writer Abhinetri script. While working on "Saivam" movie sound mixing in Los Angeles, actually Vijay met Aaron and since then both are pitching ideas to each other. That's how Abhinetri script has evolved. Will this Hollywood writer-director's efforts save Tamanna's limping career? Only time will tell.
Baahubali Writer Scripts A TV Series
Vijayendra Prasad, writer of the Baahubali series and father of S.S Rajamouli, has been roped in to pen the script for an upcoming Hindi TV series which will be directed by Goldie Behl. While more information regarding the show is yet unknown, we've learnt from reliable sources that actor Rajneesh Duggal has been chosen to play the lead. Prasad, known for writing several Telugu blockbusters such as Simhadri, Yamadonga and Eega, rose to prominence for being associated with Baahubali franchise and Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaaijaan. As a director, Prasad is known for helming projects such as Sri Krishna, Rajanna and upcoming film Kabir.
