Jiiva-Bobby Simha starrer Kavalai Vendam is all set to hit the screens on Nov 24, this Friday. Touted to be a rom-com, the film has created a good pre-release buzz among fans. Looks like this comedy entertainer will be a perfect stress buster from the economic chaos. The film is directed by Deekay of Yaamirukka Bayamey fame while Kajal Aggarwal plays the leading lady in this emotional drama produced by RS Infotainment. Also, in the star cast is Sunaina, Shruthi Ramakrishna of 144 fame, Mandra, R J Balaji, BalaSaravanan, Mayil Samy and Motta Rajendran. The technical cast comprises of Leon James (music), Abinanthan (camera), Senthil Ragavan (art) and Ruben Antony (editing). Abinesh Elangovan’s Abi & Abi Pictures has bagged the Indian theatrical rights for a whopping price.

After many hiccups, Jiiva-Bobby Simha starrer Kavalai Vendam is all set to hit the screens on Nov 24, this Friday. The latest is that the film has cleared the censor formalities with an UA certificate. Abinesh Elangovan’s Abi & Abi Pictures has bagged the Indian theatrical rights for a whopping price. The film is directed by Deekay of Yaamirukka Bayamey fame while Kajal Aggarwal plays the leading lady in this emotional drama produced by RS Infotainment. Also, in the star cast is Sunaina, Shruthi Ramakrishna of 144 fame, Mandra, R J Balaji, BalaSaravanan, Mayil Samy and Motta Rajendran. Jiiva's Kavalai Vendam starts Rolling in Coonoor
The shooting of Jiiva and Kaajal Aggarwal starrer 'Kavalai Vendam' has kickstarted its full pledged shooting yesterday in Coonoor yesterday on 18th of this month.Jiiva the blue eyed boy of R S Infotainment extends the good charm of the mega hit Ko in 'Kavalai Vendam'as the Hero. Krishna Kulasekaran files for divorce
Tamil actor Krishna Kulasekaran, who has been married to his long-time girlfriend Hemalatha for over a year, has applied for divorce on Thursday with the Chennai family welfare court. Krishna married Hemalatha last year on Feb 6. According to his petition, Krishna has claimed to be a victim of physical and mental harassment from his wife right from the day they got married. Krishna said his wife wouldn't let him home when he returned late from shooting on some days, doubted him for having relationship with several women and caused loss of concentration in his work. Hemalatha, in her petition, pressed dowry charges against her husband and his family. Rubbishing the claim, Krishna said neither he nor his family demanded any money. Known for working in films such as "Kazhugu" and "Yaamirukka Bayamey", Krishna has "Yatchan", "Grahanam" and "Pandigai" in his kitty.
Demonte Colony performs well at box office
Tamil horror-thriller "Demonte Colony", which features actor Arulnithi in the lead, has raked in approximately Rs.6 crore in its first week in Tamil Nadu. "The film has opened to phenomenal numbers. In its first week, it has approximately grossed Rs.6 crore. It is already a hit and continues to run to packed houses," trade analyst Trinath told. Directed by debutante Ajay Gnanamuthu, the film is about how a group of friends get locked up inside their room with a ghost on their trail. Producers from Telugu and Kannada industries have already initiated talks to remake the film. "Demonte Colony" has joined bandwagon of recent successful Tamil horror films such as "Kanchana 2", "Pisasu" and "Yaamirukka Bayamey".
