Vignesh's make or break film Aacharya will finally hit theatres this week-end. Directed by debutant Ravi, an one-time associate of director Bala, Aacharya is a story woven on human emotions. Ravi says, 'Aacharya is a realistic movie and is based on a real life incident that happened in a remote village in Madurai.' The happenings in the life of a Brahmin, inculcating the ethics of age-old culture in every household is Aacharya, who has moral values to safeguard, said Ravi. Dwelling further, he says, 'The movie is about a pious Brahmin youth, who is compelled by circumstances to wield the knife'. Says Vignesh, 'Having been impressed by the script, I decided not to accept any other offer until Aacharya is released. The movie has shaped up in such a way that it would make it to the top. A real attempt which deserves a pat on our back'. The other credits are: M Rajavelu (cinematography); A C Pillai (art); Prakash (stunt); Muthukumar (lyrics) and Suresh Urs (editing).
Salil Acharya is dressed to kill, literally!
Actor and VJ Salil Acharya has spared no expense for his debut film, Mukesh Bhatt's Awaarapan, directed by Mohit Suri. The actor who plays a villain in the film, which also happens to star Emraan Hashmi and Ashutosh Rana, is going to be seen in quite a stylish and sophisticated avatar, unlike any Bollywood baddie ever seen before! The dude is dressed in many suave designer suits, expensive watches, shades and shoes and the interesting part he has spared nothing for his first film as 50 % of his wardrobe has been supplied by Salil himself! And moreover, the actor didn't think twice about protecting his own designer stuff while performing stunts and fights in muddy conditions! Says the actor, "Yeah, even though I was told by people to remove my very expensive watch while doing a fight scene, I didn't remove as I felt it quite suited my character in the scene. I'm glad I got this opportunity by the Bhatt camp, working with them and the rest has been a blast!"'well, regarding your stuff, anything for the film right Salil? Vijay Krishna Acharya - From 'Dhoom' and 'PKSE' to 'Guru'
Vijay Krishna Acharya has suddenly emerged as one of the hottest names in writer circles today. After making a splash with 'Dhoom' for which he wrote dialogues and screenplay, he followed up the good work with 'Dhoom 2'. In the interim, he also wrote the dialogues for 'Pyaar Ke Side Effects' which proved out to be one of the mainstays of the film. With three back to back hits behind him, he walks into the New Year with 'Guru' for which he is responsible for penning the dialogues. Knowing Mani Ratnam's mastery over the subject and Abhishek Bachchan's strong role in the film, one expects some gems from the writing front. Meanwhile Vijay is also in news for the Yash Raj film he has signed as his directorial debut vehicle. The biggie would star Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor.
