Aamir Ali awaits the release of his two films

Aamir Ali was last seen in a film called Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai. He has now bagged two other bollywood films. The films are untitled yet. His other two films Anjaan and Raghu are ready for release but for one or the other technical reasons are still awaiting their release. Anjaan is produced by Anil Bohra and Manohar Kanungo. The film is getting delayed for some technical issues. Some scenes were not graded digitally well. So the shots were redone. That pushed the film's release ahead. The film will now release on March 31. The other film Raghu is produced by Pankaj Agarwal. He is a businessman who is busy with his work. That leaves him with less time to look into the release issues with the film. The films have also been delayed because the producers have not arrived at a joint consensus with the distributors on the release. All one can do is to wait for the consensus to strike and the films to hopefully release.

Aamir and Kajol pour out their sweet voice

Who said actors don't have good voice? Well, today's actors seem to have voice as good as their looks. Actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan and scores of others were in the news for singing for their films. The latest to join the trend is Aamir Khan and Kajol. They have sung a couple of songs for their film 'Fanaa'. The hype around Yashraj Films first release of the year 'Fanaa' has increased double fold ever since the news of Aamir Khan and Kajol singing for its album spread. Aamir had earlier sung in films like 'Ghulam', 'Mangal Pandey' and 'Rang De Basanti' but it is the first time Kajol is lending her voice. The grapevine is abuzz with the news that Aamir and Kajol have sung the songs 'Mere Haath Mein' and 'Chanda Chamke' along with singers like Sonu Nigam, Babul Supriyo, Mahalaxmi Iyer and Sunidhi Chauhan. The audio of the film is scheduled to launch worldwide on April 12. It has music by Jatin-Lalit with lyrics by Prasoon Joshi. The album also has a remix version of the number "Chand Sifarish" by DJ Aqeel.

Aamir Khan is a Japaani...naah!

Every new ad by Aamir Khan makes news. And when it is shot for COCA COLA, one keenly looks forward to see what's in store. The same happened when the first picture of Aamir Khan's new coke as was out where he was shown all dressed up as a tourist from Japan with a body language and face to match. But hold on, as Aamir Khan is no ordinary soul! He bluffs everyone alike in the minute long as no one guesses it right that he actually plays an Indian in the film. While the unsuspecting hotel manager [played by Anjan Srivastava] tries to con him into eating everything at 100 times the price, Aamir Khan just asks for a 'thanda' and later declares in fluent Punjabi that he was only looking for something that could make him cool! Reason? He was bit by honeybees that made his face swollen and make it appear like that of a Japanese! A hilarious ad indeed, it is one of the best to come from an Aamir-Coke collaboration.

For all those who have already tagged the character played by Aamir Khan as a terrorist in FANAA, there is a surprise in store! Well, that's yet another surprise which is thrown upon the audience at just the right time when the movie's release is only 3 weeks away! Rehan or Ranjeev? The mystery deepens!

Aamir backs 'Phir Hera Pheri'

Superstar Aamir Khan requested producer Feroze Nadiadwala to arrange for a special screening of 'Phir Hera Pheri' for his family and friends. Khan is a huge fan of Paresh Rawal's comic timing and wanted to check him out in this fun-caper. One could hear the actor who has faced stressful times after the release of super hit 'Fanaa' burst into peels of laughter now-n-then during the course of the film. It is learnt that Aamir Khan's next film is a comedy to be directed by veteran South Indian master Mani Ratnam. Khan is on the lookout for an eight to ten year old boy for this film. And, knowing his penchant for being different, he has hit upon a new way of searching for the kid of his requirements. He has tied up with Shiamak Davar Institute of Performing Arts (SDIPA) who organize summer workshops for school children all over the country. They shall be the one who shall be chiseling out the best kid performer for Aamir Khan's next. Meanwhile, after the spectacular success of 'Rang De Basanti' and 'Fanaa', producers are willing to pay Aamir Khan unheard sums of money in the range of Rs 10 crore and above for making him concede to be a part of their films. But the headstrong Khan is not bending before their tempestuous offers. He now plans to go on a tour to US with his 'Fanaa' co-star Kajol. The money offered to both the stars is a treasure and with the world wide applause accorded to their pairing, this will be one star tour that will be looked forward to with a lot of anticipation.

Aamir's Economical Production Plans

Aamir Khan is one busy man. The latest on him is that the recently-turned-prolific genius has not only turned a producer with Amol Gupte's directorial debut, but he has also given a green signal to producing his cousin Nuzhat's son Imran Khan's lauching pad 'Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na'. JTYJN is also the directorial debut of screenplay writer Abbas Tyrewala. Film Financier Jhamu Sughand was supposed to be producing the film but when he developed cash problems, Khan stepped in. After a script reading session of two and a half hours, Aamir shook hands with Tyrewala and confirmed that the film is On! Abbas Tyrewala has earlier scripted hits like 'Munnabhai MBBS', 'Maqbool' and 'Main Hoon Na'. For JTYJN, he has written the story, screenplay, dialogues and the lyrics. He plans to take A R Rahman for doing the music and knowing the bond Aamir shares with the South maestro, it won't be difficult convincing him. The shooting begins in October and it also has interesting cameos by Naseeruddin Shah, Ratna Pathak Shah, Arbaaz Khan and Arshad Warsi. Aamir is of the opinion that the original budget of Rs 6.5 crore can be rationalized further and Tyrewala believes in the production instinct of Khan. 'Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na' is a campus romance with its share of fun-n-humour. And, it will be for the first time that a film involving Aamir Khan won't have him acting in it.
