Ajith's Aalwar is ready to hit the screens this Pongal. The audio of the movie set to tunes by Srikanth Deva, was released on Wednesday. It was a soft launch sans any celebrations or festivities. The audio track has six songs penned by Vaali. Aalwar will open in seven prominent screens in Chennai on Pongal day. Being directed by Chella, the movie is produced by Mohan Natarajan. Says Chella, "Everything went as per our plan. We started the movie and completed the shooting as per plans. Now everything is ready and we are ready and raring to go for a Pongal release." With a rejuvenated Ajith after Varalaru's hit, expectations are high on Aalwar.In the movie, Ajith sports a youthful look and giving him company is Asin. Vivek is also in the cast. Vijay will have his Pokiri released on the same day. So its going to be a real cracker of a contest between Ajith's and Vijay's fans.
Aalwar to speak in Kannada
Ajith's Aalwar did not make it big at the box office. But the movie managed to garner good opening thanks to the actor's charisma. Directed by debutant Chella, the movie featured Asin opposite Ajith. Now efforts are on to remake the film in Kannada. Popular Kannada actor Puneeth has expressed his desire to do the Kannada remake of Aalwar. In the recent past, several Tamil films were redone in Kannada and quite few of them have gone on to become hits. Aalwar is an action-packed entertainer with the hero on a revenge mode.
Ajith's Aalwar for Pongal
This Deepavali, Ajith's Varalaru (initially titled God Father) will be out. Close on the heels, his film in the making Aalwar would hit the screens for Pongal. Being produced by Mohan Natarajan featuring Asin opposite Ajith, Aalwar is directed by debutant Chella. He was a former associate of director S J Suryah. Aalwar features Ajith in the role of a ward boy. A major portion of the movie was shot in Hyderabad Ramoji Rao Film City while a couple of songs would be canned in Switzerland. Music is by Srikanth Deva.
Pokiri and Aalwar audios doing brisk business
It's Srikanth Deva versus Mani Sharma now. The former has come up with a mix of peppy beats and melody in Ajith's Aalwar, while the latter has scored racy tunes for Vijay's Pokiri. Both the movies are ready to hit the screens this Pongal. Says Srikanth Deva, "I am really thrilled now. Ajith's fans are happy with my output in Aalwar. I wanted to come up with mass songs. Thankfully, it worked out well." Mani Sharma's Pokiri has seven songs including a remix of yesteryear hit Vasanthamullai Polae. Both the audios are doing brisk sales and fans of both Ajith and Vijay are awaiting the D-day, for the films to hit the screens.
