Aarya director sings paeans for Prakash Raj

Producer-Director Manojkumar, whose production venture Aarya is running to good response, has heaped laurels on Prakashraj. He would soon direct Prakashraj for a movie titled Fusekattai Ramasamy in which Prakashraj would act in the lead. Manoj says Prakashraj is a gifted actor in filmdom. "Many ask why I am opting for Prakashraj in most of my films such as Guruparvai, Vanavil, Aarya and Fusekattai Ramasamy. The reason is very simple that I feel very much comfortable to work with such a nice actor who give a complete shape to the role with his performance", says Manoj. On Fusekattai Ramasamy, the director says, "Prakashraj will play the role of a retired electricity board lineman in the film. Aarya 's ‘Madharasapattinam’ from April 14

The first day of the Tamil month Chithirai would see the release of ‘Madharasapattinam’, the Arya starrer, which is set in pre-independence era. Directed by Vijay of ‘Poi Solla Porom’ fame, the film is produced by Kalpathi S Agoram of AGS Entertainers. According to circles close to the production house, a major part of the film is completed and post production works are currently on in full swing. “If everything goes as planned, the movie would no doubt hit the screens on April 14,” they say. “It is a lively entertainer. Director Vijay and his team took immense pains to recreate the old Madras. The film would certainly shift the audience to the pre-independence era. It is going to be a totally different treatment,” says Arya. Says director Vijay, “Madharasapattinam is a straight contrast to my earlier two films - Kireedam and Poi Solla Porom. We are bringing back the old Chennai on screen. You will see boats making their way in Buckingham Canal and a Mount Road full of greenery.” The rest of the cast includes Nasser, V M C Haneefa (who passed away recently), Bala Singh and M S Baskar. Cinematography is by Nirav Shah while G V Prakash has scored the music.
