Nani and Vani Kapoor starred Aaha Kalyanam, an upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual film is not only following the genre, but also the promotion style of 2013 hit Tamil film Kalyana Samayal Saadham. Remember, KSS team lead by director RS Prasanna starring Prasanna Venkatesan and Lekha Washington in the lead roles has made use of Twitter and Facebook to reach common audiences, as social networking sites are been part of day-to-day life. Similarly, Aaha Kalyanam producers Yash Raj Films (YRF) started promotions of their movie online. Gokul directed Nani's Aaha Kalyanam is the remake of successful Hindi film Band Baaja Baaraat, which is a romantic comedy of two wedding planners. Aaha Kalyanam's music is by Dharan is composing and makers are planning film's release on February 7th in Telugu and Tamil.
"Mirugam" Aathi gets a break
Aathi, who made his debut in Samy's "Mirugam", gets a break after waiting for months to get a good project. He has been roped in the project produced by director Shankar's 'S' Pictures. 'S' Pictures has announced the commencement of three new projects, directed by Naaga, Thamira, and Arivazhagan. The projects will be started after the release of "Arai en 305il Kadavul", directed by Simbudevan. All the three directors will be making their entry into directing a movie. Naaga has the experience of directing the TV serial 'Vidadhu Karuppu', while Thamira has written the dialogues for K. Balachandar's "Poi". The third director Arivazhagan is Shankar's assistant. Aathi will be the hero of the film directed by Arivazhagan. His pair will be Sindhu Menon. Aathi, who impressed everyone with his performance in "Mirugam", is lucky enough to get a project under a prestigious banner in his second film itself. Great going Aathi!
Director Gokul spill beans on Aaha Kalyanam
Aaha Kalyanam is the Southern production debut of Yash Raj Films and the debutante director Gokul Krishna says, though I'm happy and lucky to be working with YRF banner for my first movie, its a huge responsibility. "Its a huge responsibility to live upto audiences expectations while working on the remake venture. More than nervousness, it is challenging part to work with such a big studio. I felt the responsibility to live up to the expectations and the standards of the studio. Working with YRF made me responsible," Krishna told. Director added, “After auditioning many new faces, we've zeroed in Nani after watching 'Ala Modalaindi' and Vaani Kapoor to reprise the roles of Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma in this Band Baaja Baaraat remake. Nani has a unique charm in his act and Vaani was synonymous to her character.” "While making the remake, I ensured that the soul of the original is not lost. We stuck to the script of the original and made small changes for Southern nativity," Gokul Krishna said. He further added, "In a song we captured 23 different cultures. We've emphasized on the cross-cultural values through most of the film. For instance, the film is shot using a red, blue and yellow color palette," he said. Gokul is happy with Aaha Kalyanam output and said, “Saw the first copy of Aaha Kalyanam. I'm very happy with the output. Thanks Nani and Vaani for taking pain in learning Tamil perfectly and I thank Dharan Kumar and Madhan Karky for awesome musical." “Thanks Padam Kumar and YRF. Nani's Aaha Kalyanam releasing simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu this Friday, on 21st February.
Aata for regular shoot from this week
Directed by VN Aditya and produced by Mega Movie Maker MS Raju on the prestigious banner of Sumant Arts with Siddharth and Ileana in the lead, 'Aata', is most likely to go to sets from this week. The first schedule of the film was planned at Antarvedi and Rajahmundry and its surrounding areas for 12 days. After that the unit would shift to Australia for a month's shoot. Devi Sri Prasad is providing music for this flick.
'Aata' team to leave for US
The shooting of the first schedule of 'Aata' directed by VN Aditya and produced by MS Raju under the banner Sumanth Arts with Siddharth and Ileana in the lead was held at Rajahmundry, Antarvedi and its surrounding areas recently. The unit is leaving for the US for its second schedule. According to sources from the film industry, the unit would leave for the US in the first week of December. The film has music by Devi Sri Prasad.
'Aata' to begin shoot at Araku
The first schedule of 'Aata' directed by VN Aditya and produced by MS Raju under the banner Sumanth Art Productions with Siddhartha and Ileana in the lead was completed recently. The shoot took place in and around Rajahmundry. The next schedule of the film has been planned at Araku Valley from November 29 to December 22. Producer MS Raju said, 'We gave 'Pulimeeda Swari' as the tagline for the film, which would be very apt to the storyline. After the completion of the second schedule at Araku, we will shift back to Hyderabad. There we plan to shoot the remaining part of the film in a posh, expensive house set, which will be erected from January 3. Later, the unit will leave abroad for the shooting of the last schedule. We are planning to release the film in April as a summer special.' Camera for this film is by Chota K Naidu, dialogues are by Paruchuri brothers, music is by Devisri Prasad and the lyrics are by Sirivennela Sitarama Sastry.
