More news →'Adugu' shooting nearing completion
The shooting of 'Adugu' presented by Bommakanti Sudheer Babu, produced by Bommakanti Madhav on the banner of Madhavi Art Productions introducing Veera Prasad, who had associated himself with top directors like Dasari Narayana Rao and Sreenu Vaitla, as director. During a schedule between May 13 and May 20, the film unit had shot some important scenes besides canning of two songs. Producer says, 'We shot two songs 'Adugulo Adugeyavaa'' penned by Pedda Murthy and 'Akkade Naa Choopu Vaalindi'' scripted by Bhaskarabhatla on the hero and heroine under the choreography of Ramesh. The final schedule would be held from June 2 till the end of the shooting in Hyderabad. The film would be a beautiful love story with high technical values.' Suman, Brahmanandam, Tanikella Bharani, Ali, MS Narayana, Jhansi, Sudha, Harshavardhan and others are in the cast. Story is by Sudhakar Bommakanti, dialogues are by Malkari Srinivas and Sikinala Kranthi, music is by Jeevan Thomas, camera is by N Sudhakar Reddy, while screenplay and direction are by Veeraprasad Neelam.
'Adugu' completes third schedule
The third schedule of 'Adugu' directed by Veeraprasad Neelam, presented by Bommakanti Sudhir Babu and produced by Bommakanti Madhavi on the banner of Madhavi Art Productions with Samarendra and Richa Soni in the lead was completed recently. Producer says, 'Some comedy scenes were shot on Ali, MS Narayana during this schedule, besides canning of a song on Suman and Sudha. Some more key scenes were also shot on Samarendra and Richa. Generally the Telugu word 'Adugu' would be used for several occasions like to ask somebody to say something or to step forward and the like. What was the occasion we used in the film is a suspense.' Director says, 'Shooting is progressing as per schedule with the cooperation from the artistes and technicians. We started the final schedule of the film on June 21.' Brahmanandam, Tanikella Bharani, Kavitha and others are also in the cast. Music is by Jeevan Thomas, while screenplay and direction are by Veeraprasad Neelam.
Prabhas to begin shoot for Okka Adugu?
Prabhas has signed up a film Okka Adugu to be directed by Krishnam Raju. The latest buzz in the tinsel town is that Prabhas will shoot for the film from end August or early September month in parallel with his much awaited Baahubali in Rajamouli direction. The Young Rebel Star who has recently read the script is said to have suggested few changes and the makers are giving final touches to the script. Okka Adugu will also be produced by Rebel Star Krishnam Raju under their home banner Gopi Krishna Movies. The other cast and crew of the film is yet to be finalized, but Okka Adugu is touted to be a commercial mass entertainer. Nara Rohit and Sharwanand might be part of this big-budget film.
August - It's all happening
As we had written earlier, this August it will be a battle of heavyweights. But there are also a couple of interesting movies set for release later this month. The Sivaji and Ankitha starrer Seetharamudu is set for release on August 18. Directed by Shyam Prasad, Seetharamudu is produced by Yalamanchi Ravichand under Sri Sambasiva Creations. Ramana Gogula has composed the music. But this week itself another movie is releasing. It is Pellam Pichodu, starring Rajendra Prasad, Richa and Srujana in the leads. Directed by Jonnavittula Ramalingeswara Rao and produced by RRB Shastri, the film's interesting sidelight is Rajendra Prasad himself has scored the music. So it is all happening in this August.
'Mee Sreyobhilashi' climax from August 2
Picturisation of climax for 'Mee Sreyobhilashi', presented by CC Reddy and produced by Y Sonia Reddy on the banner of Visu Films Pvt Ltd, introducing V Eswara Reddy as director, with Dr Rajendra Prasad as hero is going to begin from August 2 at Horsley Hills. Dr Rajendra Prasad is playing the title role. His character is the well-wisher of everyone in the society. Especially, the role strives to stop the people who were about to commit suicide and counsel them from desisting their attempt. 'Nobody should take a drastic step and decide to end his/her life in a fit of anger. Such thoughts without giving a second thought would lead to severe repercussions' ' is the message to be driven through the movie. Presently post-production works are also going on at a fast pace. Hero Rajendra Prasad says, 'I am confident that this character would remain another milestone in my film career and would earn a place among the best characters I ever played in my career.'
'Vijayadasami' audio on August 23
Shooting of some important scenes for 'Vijayadasami' directed by V Samudra and produced by Edara Ranga Rao on the banner of Sai Sarvajit Movies with Nandamuri Kalyanram as hero, Vedika as heroine and Dialogue King Saikumar as villain is in progress. The film is the remake of a successful Tamil film 'Sivakasi'. Hero Kalyanram's is playing the lead character called 'Sivakasi'. He is doing the role of a person who is ready to sacrifice his life for the sake of friendship, while Saikumar is playing his brother. Suman and Jayasudha are playing their parents. The shooting of the entire film, except canning of a song, would be completed by August 20. It was proposed to launch the audio on August 23 and efforts are being made to release the film either on September 6 or 13. Srikanth Deva is scoring music for the flick.
