Prashant Chaddha is the name that instantly comes to mind since he has been doing it quite consistently for songs in 'Tom Dick and Harry' and 'Humko Deewana Kar Gaye', to name a few. But he is now not the lone runner in the race as another name that is fast catching up on the music video circuit is that of Kookie V. Gulati. He is the same man who has conceptualized and directed the music video of 'Marge Sohniye' for Mika's 'Something Something'. He was also recently in the news for his direction of title song of 'Pyaare Mohan' that stars Fardeen Khan and Viveik Oberoi. Things only seem to be looking better for this erstwhile associate director for Ken Ghosh's 'Ishq Vishk' and 'Fida' as he is all set to direct a full blown film. A love story that will have shades of comedy and thrills, the film will star upcoming actress Urvashi Sharma in the lead.
After PMT it is LKCM for Rishi Kapoor
Rishi Kapoor is having exciting times both personally and professionally. His daughter Ridhima has recently got married while his son Ranbeer is all set to make his debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Saanwariya'. Meanwhile his professional life should also see an upswing this summer as two of the films featuring him in pivotal roles arrive almost back to back. While Kunal Kohli's 'Fanaa' is more talked about for Aamir Khan and Kajol pairing, even Rishi plays an important role in this Yash Chopra film. Meanwhile there is also a small light hearted starring Rishi Kapoor that should be out on the screens soon. Directed by B H Tharun Kumar, the film is titled 'Love Ke Chakkar Mein' and is a romantic comedy marking the debut of newcomers Aarnav Bhatia. The film was launched around 2 years back but should now see the light of the day.
After 'Hanuman' arrives an animated version of 'Krishna'
Animation film 'Hanuman' released last year and created a number of records across the country through its theatrical and DVD revenue. This year 'Krishna' may repeat the same feat when it releases this festive season. Originally slated to arrive in December last year, the film's post production took a longer duration than anticipated earlier but is now set to hit the marquee. An animated musical film produced by Shashikant Chheda / Amit Chheda and directed by Aman Khan, the film promises brings out all these aspects of Lord Krishna's life in a highly colorful and entertaining manner, which is sure to appeal to everyone alike. This inspired and entertaining film shall ensure the teachings and virtues of the Lord are sure to be enjoyed and passed on to present and future generations for years to come. This 95 minute Hindi film narrates the tale of the Lord's birth through to his childhood years in Gokul and then Vrindavan, where Yashodha and Nand raised him as their own son, and his slaying of Kansa, the evil ruler of Mathura. Lord Krishna's childhood is interspersed with various adventures including his fights with demons like Pootna, Trinavarat and many more. This animated feature also brings to life Lord Krishna's naughty aspects like breaking pots of butter, and other adventures. Another enchanting aspect of Lord Krishna's life of playing the flute and bewitching the gopis, who become eternally devoted to him and indulge in Ras Leela, is beautifully depicted in this entertaining feature. Lord Krishna, as a very young man returns to Mathura and finally overthrows his evil uncle Kansa, and becomes the ruler of the Yadavas at Mathura, thus bringing to an end this fascinating story of his birth and childhood days.
After Big B, it is Lata's turn to be honored by French Govt.
A few days back Amitabh Bachchan was honored by French Government for its highest civilian award - 'Officer of the Legion of Honour' - for his contribution to Indian and international cultural life. Exactly a month later, it is the turn of Lata Mangeshkar to be chosen for the Knight of Legion Award by the French government's for her contribution to the world of cinema. French Ambassador to India Dominique Gerard will present the award to her next month in Mumbai.

Also, if the film turns out to be a success when it eventually releases on 12th January, the song is certainly going to go a long distance. Now all eyes are set to see how well does Mallika sizzle with a director of the caliber of Mani Ratnam behind the camera?
After Mallika Sherawat, Neha Dhupia all set for a New Year performance
After Mallika Sherawat, who was recently in news for being one of the first celebrities signing up for New Years eve performance, Neha Dhupia too has joined the fun as she is all set to perform at Country Club, Mumbai on 31st December night. She would be coming up with a foot thumping dance performance on a medley of songs. On speaking about her forthcoming performance, Neha Dhupia said, 'I'm hoping for the best and will try my best to keep my fans happy with my performance.' Mr. Rajeev Reddy, Chairman & MD, CCIL too quipped, "It is a privilege to have Neha Dhupia to do the honors." Neha has a number of releases lined up on 2007 starting with Sanjay Khanduri's 1:40 KI LAST LOCAL, Apoorva Lakhia's SHOOTOUT AT LOKAHNDWALA, Rajat Kapoor's MITHYA, Anand Kumar's DELHI HEIGHTS and Sanjay Gupta's DUS KAHANIYAN.
