Actress Meenakshi Sarkar, who is returning to Tamil films with Dhanush-starrer "Soodhadi", says it's a "great deal" to work with a talented artist like him. Meenakshi was last seen in 2010 Tamil film "Agam Puram". "I may not be playing Dhanush's pair in the film, but it still is a great deal to work in it. I'm sure I'll get to learn a lot from the experience," Meenakshi had told. Meenakshi is paired with actor-filmmaker R. Parthepan, who will be essaying an important role. "I have landed a bold role that has ample glamour quotient as well. I play Parthepan sir's pair and I'm really looking forward to start working with him," she said. She had taken a break from acting to complete her MBA. To be directed by Vetrimaaran, "Soodhadi" is expected to go on floors in October. Lakshmi Menon will play the film's lead actress.
Meenakshi negates gossips
Meenakshi stars opposite Shaam in the forthcoming film 'Agam Puram', directed by Thirumalai. She also features in 'Rajathi Raja' alongside Larencce and in 'Taxi No. 4777' alongside Ajmal and her other films also include 'Perumal' and 'Pallikondapuram'. She got noticed for her role in 'Karuppasamy Kutthagaitharar' and her growth has been steady ever since. Recently, allegations were going around that, while in the shooting of 'Agam Puram' she demanded for a caravan and elite, star hotels to stay. Denying those reports, Meenakshi said, "I am comfortable with whatever comfort the producer could offer. I never compel producers for any luxuries. I wish to linger as a good actress in the minds of public and to appeal as a disciplined actress to producers."
Meenakshi's Malaysian rendezvous
'Karuppasamy Kuthagaikarar' fame Meenakshi is slowly climbing the ladder of success. She is currently acting in a host of films including the Tamil remake of the Hindi hit 'Taxi No 9211', the Nepoleon starrer 'Pallikondapuram' and Ragava Larencce's 'Rajathi Raja'. The actress, who recently agreed to act in 'Agam Puram', a movie that stars Shaam is ready to pack her bags and leave to Malaysia to take part in the shooting for the film. The movie, directed by Thirumalai, has musical score by Sundar C Babu. Produced by Madurai Gopalakrishnan, the film is expected to be an action-packed entertainer. Thirumalai, who made his directorial debut with 'Thee Nagar', is confident that 'Agam Puram' will become a blockbuster.

Actress Meenakshi has replaced Keerath to play the female lead in 'Agam Puram', a movie to be directed by 'Thee Nagar' fame Thirumalai. 'Agam Puram' features Shaam in the lead role and the shooting for the film would begin shortly. It may be recalled that Thirumalai's maiden venture 'Thee Nagar' starring Karan went on to become an average grosser. Initially Keerath Bhattal was signed to play the female lead. However she has been replaced by Meenakshi at the last moment. Let's see if Shaam and Meenakshi can make the screen sizzle.
