'Machcha' hits the floor

'Machcha' alias Mahesh Chandra, went on the floor on Wednesday morning (December 12) at Bangalore Palace. The movie tells you the story of an underworld youth. The tall hero Jeevan (6.3 feet) and Saritha Jain play the lead roles. The Muhurat of the movie was graced by the presence of Union Minister of state for information and broadcasting Ambarish and power star Puneet Rajkumar. The minister is playing a guest role in the film. Deepak Shetty, a stock and shares trader hailing from Somwarpet in Coorg district, is the producer of the film. Arjun scores the music. Director Dhananjay Kundapura alias Datthu has a vast experience of working in the camps of directors Om Prakash Rao, Naveen Gandhi and few others. He has done the screenplay for the recent Kannada film 'Agrahara'. He is now pinning his hopes on his first independent project. He has used the latest technology of sound and camera. His team has 50 percent of newcomers and 50 percent of experienced artists and technicians. Datthu is not ready to take things easily He has been working hard on the subject for eight months and has rewritten his script for eight times. He has planned to finish the movie within 75 days of shooting. The shooting will be undertaken in six schedules and there will be three days of gap between each schedule. Jeevan, a tall and handsome guy from Bangalore with experience in modeling and ramp shows, is armed with a certificate in acting from Poona film Institute. He has signed another film for senior director K. Raghavendra Rao in Telugu. Saritha Jain, who has acted in sundry roles so far in Chellata and Kadalamage, plays the main heroine for the first time. Satya Prakash, the bad boy on silver screen in various languages and Besant Ravi are in the trouble shooting department of the film. Vinaya Prasad plays the mother of hero Jeevan. Film Journalist Yathiraj is playing a key role in this film.

3 In fray on Friday

It is the survival of the fittest among the three newcomers film releasing on this Friday. Two out of three 'Guna' and 'Agrahara' (A certificate film) are action packed films with underworld background. The third one 'Road Romeo' in which Dilip Pai makes debut is a message filled cinema handled by senior director Sai Prakash. With bizarre of launches this year 'Guna', 'Agrahara' and Dilip Pai debut as hero 'Road Romeo' should succeed at the box office. This would give an additional strength to scores of newcomers. 'Guna' starring Venkatesh directed by Nag is all about the life of a neglected boy and how he survives when he is given wrong feeding to come up in life. He becomes a rowdy and the wrong path for the right boy becomes inevitable. Nag is making debut as director. Gauri Venkatesh is the cameraman. Jitesh, Seema, Doddanna, Kishore, Lohitashva, Bullet Prakash are in the cast. 'Dhuniya' fame Vijay is in the guest role. This is the 100th music direction of Vijay Anand. 'Agrahara' appears to be violent in posters. It is about the good things in the life of a rowdy. Akshay has directed this film writing story, screenplay and dialogues. Gajendra is the producer. Rajesh Ramanath has scored the music and Shanker is the cameraman. Arya, Neethu, Kishore are in the cast. Veteran director Sai Prakash backlog film 'Road Romeo' star Dilip Pai and Ashitha in the lead. Rare Brains Films with slogan - the complete, unusual and ultimate entertainment is produced by Nandakumar and Sonali. K.M.Indra has written the lyrics and music. Director Sai Prakash focuses on the responsibility of today's youth in this film.
