So far 2006 hasn't really treated Amisha Patel well with two of her backlog films failing to ignite the box office. First came 'Mere Jeevan Saathi' that went haywire in the opening week itself while her second release 'Humko Tumse Pyaar Hai' too showing no signs of going in the right direction since its last Friday release. Incidentally while she romanced with Bobby Deol in HTPH, she joins hands with 'bada bhai' Sunny Deol in 'Teesri Aankh - The Hidden Camera' in coming Friday. Incidentally 'Teesri Aankh' too looks like a dated product. In the hindsight one feels that she may be heaving a sigh of relief with her backlog films coming in quick succession and going off the theatres in no time. From hereon she has a set fresh of some very interesting films lined up from where she could again attempt at getting back into the limelight for all the right reasons!
Asha Parekh returns to Television
Asha Parekh is back on television after a long hibernation. She is best known for her teleserial on Star called Kora Kagaz starring Renuka Shahane. She also did serials for DD and Sahara. She does not wish to act anymore. She only intends to look after the behind the camera work as a producer. She was recently approached to make a Gujarati version of a popular Kannada serial on ETV Kannada called Gupt Gamini. The show is really popular and has crossed 550 episodes. Asha is making its Gujarati version for ETV Gujarati. The show will be called Akhanda Saubhagyavati. It goes on air today. The story is about two sisters who owing to certain circumstances become staunch enemies and the entire family suffers for them. The show will be lead by Rajlakshmi, Dharmesh Vyas and Sneha Desai. Harshad Joshi will direct the show. Asha wishes to direct a Hindi film very soon. Incidentally Asha Parekh's first Gujarati film was also titled Akhanda Saubhagyavati. So life has come full circle for her.
Akshay Kumar and Bipasha Basu pair up again
The 'Ajnabee' pair of Akshay Kumar and Bipasha Basu would be seen again soon. And surprisingly the promo of the movie is on air for more than a month now but the pairing is being noticed only recently. We are talking about 'Humko Deewana Kar Gaye' that is more in news due to Akshay-Katrina pairing than anything else. But not many are aware that even Bipasha Basu stars opposite Akshay Kumar and that too as his original love interest. Incidentally the two actors have never been seen together as conventional romantic leads. In 'Ajnabee' both played negative characters followed by 'Aankhen' where they were together only for a song'n'dance sequence. The closest they came to be paired as a romantic lead was in 'Barsaat' but that couldn't materialize further due to Akshay walking out of the project.
Akshay, Preity, Saif in Bollywood shows in...

Asha Bhosle is strong and ticking
Asha Bhosle is not a name of yesteryears. She is that name that was, is and will continue to rule the hearts of a zillion people the world over. Women her age prefer to sit back home and relax. But she does not prefer to give her career a backseat and sit back home. In fact she is already out with her new album Asha Reveals The Real RD that has already become a hit with music lovers. She is happy to have remixed her favorite numbers with Pancham Da. She is happy the songs don't sound like one of those latest remix tracks. She worked with Latin American and Caribbean sounds on this album that make it sound different. She has also recorded two songs for a Bhojpuri film Nehiya Sanehiya. She will soon be performing with Grammy award winner Kronos Quartet. Asha is one Indian singer who has been nominated for Grammy awards too. She has a dream to work with Carlos Santana. Well she can dare to dream as she can make dreams come true.
Amisha in Goa
Amisha Patel is having the time of her life in Goa working especially with woman director Reema Kagti for Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd. She'll be in Goa for a month. According to Amisha a woman director understands the psychology of a female actor very well. But she is not having the time to enjoy the beaches because of the round the clock schedule. The executive producer of the film is Zoya Akhtar. Her other films are Dharmesh Darshan's Aap Ke Khatir with Priyanka Chopra, Ankahee of Vikram Bhatt with Esha Deol.
