The media consultant for Paresh Rawal, Carving Dreams Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. was instrumental in managing and coordinating the advertising deal. Paresh will be seen in the main brand film and also in the advertisements of other general insurance products of the company like Motor, Health and Home insurance.
American Telugu Association plans extravaganza
The American Telugu Association (ATA) organizes a get together once in two years and a host of prominent celebrities will be converging at the Prudential Center, Newark, New Jersey from the 3rd to the 5th of July to make it a memorable event. The ATA recognizes and honors individuals of Telugu origin during the convention. Eminent personalities from different fields are expected to be honored this year as well. Representatives from the Telugu film world and prominent personalities from other fields who are taking part this year include Jr. NTR, Allu Arjun, Charmee, Hansika Motwani, Roja, Devisri Prasad, Ghazal Srinivas, Vijaya Lakshmi, Siva Reddy, Gangadhar, Gollapudi Maruthu Rao, Suddala Ashok Teja and C.Narayana Reddy. There are also a host of religious leaders who are taking part. Seminars and glittering cultural performances are being planned for the event. Awards would be presented in order to honor excellence in different fields.
Ameer is gung-ho
After the solid work for over 100 days, director Ameer is all to set wind up shooting for his Paruthi Veeran. The movie assumes major significance for it features Surya's younger brother Karthik in the lead role. Based on a real life incident in an interior village in Madurai, the shooting for Paruthi Veeran commenced last year. A major portion of the movie was shot in villages adjoining Maduari. Ramji, who cranked the camera for Ameer's Raam, handles the same hero too, while music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The final portions of the film is being shot in Theni district now. Ameer is determined to complete the shooting and commence post production works. He has planned the movie for an Independence Day release. Ameer, whose Raam won awards at many international film fests, says, 'Paruthi Veeran is again an emotional and realistic story. With Karthik and Priyamani giving their best, it is sure to click. We have taken time only to give the audience a quality entertainment'.
Ameer and Suriya - Success brings them together
The latest buzz doing rounds in Kollywood is that Suriya has accepted to do a movie for director Ameer early next year. The two had come together earlier for Mounam Pesiyadhae. The movie did manage to collect good revenue and received appreciation from film-buffs. Ameer's Team work Productions, currently producing Paruthi Veeran starring Suriya's sibling Karthi in the lead role, is expected to produce the same. The movie has been tentatively titled Kannabiran. Paruthi Veeran will be released in December. Priyamani stars opposite Karthik. Yuvan Shankar Raja scores music for this movie. Ameer handles story, screenplay, dialogues and direction. Ameer has reportedly shelved all plans to commence a film featuring him in the lead role. In stead he plans to begin his next featuring Suriya. After Sillunu Oru Kadhal, Suriya would be doing a movie for Gowtham Menon.
Ameer ready & raring to go
Paruthi Veeran will mark a new beginning in Tamil cinema, says director Ameer. Speaking about his film which will hit the screens this Pongal, Ameer said that Tamil film industry has begun its journey towards fulfilling expectations. There is a global appeal for Tamil cinema and efforts are on to take it to greater heights by infusing young blood. Paruthi Veeran is an attempt towards it. After proving his mettle in Mounam Pesiyadhae and Raam, Ameer is coming out with Paruthi Veeran starring Suriya's younger brother Karthi and Priya Mani in lead roles. Busy with post-production works, Ameer says, "More than 60 new faces are being introduced in the film. All have done their part well. Music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematography by Ramji would be special highlights."
Ameer scores a hat-trick
It's three in a row for Ameer. After Mounam Pesiyadhae and Ram, his Paruthi Veeran released last week-end managed not just huge collections at the box office but also rave reviews. Ameer, who is down with fever in Madurai, is thrilled at the movie's fantastic opening. According to the director, 'My faith in the script has been vindicated. The delay in the release has not hampered its prospects. It again proves that audiences are ready to welcome off-beat and out of the box ideas.' Ameer was also appreciative of his cast and crew in Paruthi Veeran. 'A movie on rural theme with folk arts is a rarity these days. But if made sincerely, it would go on to succeed,' he says. On his next, Ameer says, 'The script for my next directorial venture is ready. It has been titled Kannabiran. Search for a suitable hero is on.' On his plans to foray into acting, Ameer says, 'For now, I want to direct a movie. But by next year, my acting venture will kick off and the film would be directed by Samuthirakani.'
