The actor turned politician Ambarish the sitting Member of Parliament escaped with minor injuries in a car accident on Tuesday night near Bhashyam circle in Bangalore. The Toyota Frodo car in which Ambarish was traveling was moving very fast at the Cauvery theatre junction. At this moment he attended a mobile call and in a fraction of a few seconds he lost control and hit the road divider. The front bumper and a wheel of the car dismantled on account of this dash. Ambarish fell out of the car as he was driving the vehicle. Within 10 minutes the traffic police at night 9.50 pm came to Ambarish rescue and sent him to hospital for first aid in another car. The car was removed from the accident spot with the help of a crane
Ambika London Debut
Ambika London a young singer in the prestigious BBC and has worked for Hollywood albums daughter of famous violinist Chandru has made debut in playback singing in Kannada film 'Nishedhagne'. Ambika is well educated singer doing the III year course in Film Media. Ambika London recorded her voice at Jai Audio recording studio in the music direction of Giridhar recently. Khadiya Kadharalli, Gandhi topi neralalli madbaradella madutha'was the item song Ambika recorded. This particular song will be shot for the film in a specially erected set near Hoskote Athithi Hotel on dancer Abhinayasri says director Padmanabha. Two more songs for this film will be shot in Mauritius and Maldives. Director Padmanabha has completed the talkie portion of this unique film within 50 days. Former cop in Karnataka police Abdul Azeem is in important role in this film. Adhi Lokesh is playing double for the first time in this Bharat Babu Productions maiden venture. Bharat Babu, Padmaja Rao, Priyanka Chandra, Shanker Ashwath, Ninasam Ashwath, Suresh Mangalore, Sneha Jagadish are also in the cast.
Ambikapathy clashes with Mariyaan
Anand L Rai directed Hindi film Raanjhnaa is being dubbed as Ambikapathy in Tamil and the film is slated for a release on 28th June while the Hindi version is all set to hit the screens on June 21. Meanwhile, Dhanush’s other film Mariyaan that has wrapped up its censor formalities bagging U/A is also slated for June 28 release. Mariyaan was supposed to hit the screens in May but was delayed and is set for release on same day on 28th of the month. Dhanush and Sonam Kapoor have been quite busy with the promotional activities of Raanjhnaa. The distributor of Tamil version Abirami Ramanathan has organized a press meet of the film on June 18 and the lead actors along with Anand L Rai have partaken in the event. The unit members are quite confident on the film’s success and Dhanush informed that he is happy with the final output.

Shilpa's ambitious plans with S2 Productions
Shilpa Shetty will launch her own production house 'S2 Productions' to make her DVD video on Yoga this month. "After her perfume S2 reached the number one slot on the UK perfume charts, Shilpa was thinking about what her next step should be. She wanted to do something she had not ventured into before, when she hit upon the idea of producing her DVD video herself," informed her spokesperson and publicist Dale Bhagwagar. "Production is a new challenge for her but knowing her determination, combined with her experience in cinema, it shouldn't be too much of a task," he added. To be shot from this month (August) end for a week at the backwaters in Kerala, the Yoga DVD video spanning two hours, will be directed by Manish Jha (of the critically acclaimed feature films 'Matrabhoomi' and 'Anwar' fame). While Arghya Lahiri is writing the script for the video, the camera work will be handled by Englishman Jamie Sowlds. Currently, a team is in Kovalam scouting the best locations and backdrops for the shoot. The DVD video will concentrate on Yoga, fitness and lifestyle and will be available in UK and Dubai to begin with. The distribution network is being finalized. "The video will showcase the right techniques of doing ashtanga yoga including breathing techniques. It will also concentrate on food management and provide guidance about how to maintain a slim waist without dieting and by eating the right foods," Bhagwagar further informed. To go with the mood and feel of the Yoga DVD, the package will also contain a free separate lounge music CD with tunes composed by Pankaj Awasthi. Shilpa has been a regular practitioner of yoga, but is now getting intensive training from yoga trainers Shiv Kumar Mishra and Vinayak Dixit from a month now, making sure she perfects the asans to be shot for the video. When asked if the production house also plans to make feature films in future, Bhagwagar said, "Its premature to comment on that but it could be a possibility. As of now, the production house is focusing on the video". Soon after the DVD video, Shilpa will be seen in a musical titled 'Miss Bollywood' . Premiering with shows in Germany by the end of this year, the musical will travel to UK and later to US and Australia. On her agenda next, is a cookery book titled 'Soul Curry' and role of Sita in Uru Patel's international venture 'Hanuman'. With so much in the offing, one can very well expect to find Shilpa Shetty in complete media glare throughout the coming year too.
NASA plans most ambitious mission – to the asteroids
NASA will somehow have to accomplish its most ambitious mission – landing on an asteriod within 15 years, after a presidential directive. The challenges are manifold, but NASA nerds are delirious at tackling the nitty gritty of such an inconceivably challenging project – though Hollywood has already done it in “Armageddon” 13 years ago. An asteroid is a gigantic rock orbiting the sun, like Earth. One of them, just 16 km across, devastated the earth and wiped out dinosaurs 60 million years ago. Another, a much smaller one, exploded over Siberia in 1908, wiping out vegetation over 108 square km. But sending people to an asteriod won’t be that easy because of its zero gravity. Astronauts would just float away. NASA is thinking about jetpacks, tethers, bungees, nets and spiderwebs to allow explorers to float just above the surface of it while attached to a smaller mini-spaceship, reports the Daily Mail. Such a ship – something like a Star Trek shuttle craft melded with a deep sea explorer with pincer-like arms – is needed just to get within working distance of the asteroid. That craft would have to be big enough for astronauts to live in for a week or two. They’d still need a larger habitat for the long term. NASA has also announced details of plans to determine if Mars has or ever had the ingredients for life. A robotic science lab, being prepared for a Nov 25 launch, will land in August 2012 near a mountain in a crater on the planet most like Earth in the solar system. But President Barack Obama has said the objective is to build new spaceships that can travel beyond the shuttle’s near-Earth orbit and eventually send astronauts to asteroids, Mars and other destinations in deep space.
