Amma Cheppindi is perhaps the movie that is most expected in the coming days. Set for release this month end, Amma Cheppindi is directed by Gunnam Gangaraju. The man has a history of making interesting offbeat entertainers. Little Soldiers, Aithe, Anukokunda Oka Roju. Of this, he directed Little Soldiers while producing the other two. Amma Cheppindi will again have his full stamp. The movie, about a mother and son attachment, is creating the right noises. Starring Suhasini, Sharvanand and Shriya Reddy in the leads, Amma Cheppandi has class written all over it. Obviously such a movie will have more attractions for the urban audience. So the film's publicity brigade has seen using the Internet and emails to make a pitch for the movie. Sharavanad's brother Kalyan has particularly taken the task of sounding out the IT brigade. On the whole, the campaign looks interesting.
'Amma Cheppindi' mother of all tests
It is the ultimate test for Gunnam Gangaraju. His Amma Cheppindi releases today. And with no competition to face, Gunnam Gangaraju can prove whether his kind of films --- sensitive, sober and with an intelligent touch --- have a market these days. He is known for offbeat flicks that keep you interested. Amma Cheppindi is a film about a 'grown up kid' and a spunky mother. Suhasini and Sharvanand play the lead roles. The story is set in the backdrop of the Sriharikota space centre. It talks about moral values in a world that is increasingly forgetting them. Keeravani music has already caught attention of the public. It stands out for its unique feel and fervor. Gangaraju's son Sandeep Gunnam is making his debut as a cameraman in the film. The film is also a test for Andhra public, as they have to show what kind of entertainment they prefer. Totally mass-centric or one with some cute ideas? The film is releasing with 32 prints across the State, and if the movie does well more prints will obviously be added.

Amma Rajasekhar to direct Nithin
Noted choreographer Amma Rajasekhar had tested his hand in direction and gave a big hit like 'Ranam' with Gopichand in the lead. The film proved that the debutant director had caught the mass pulse while presenting the film on the screen. However, his next film 'Khatarnak' with Raviteja and Ileana in the lead was a huge flop. With the success of Ranam, Amma Rajasekhar was able to make top artistes turn heads towards him. But with the failure in the second film had pushed him into a secluded place with no one coming forward to do a film with him. However, it is learnt that Amma Rajasekhar had narrated a story to young hero Nithin and a film is likely to go to sets in their combination, if the information received from reliable sources is proved correct. It may be mentioned here that Nithin's latest flick, 'Satyam Sivam Sundaram' had completed the shooting but failed to hit the screen due to unknown reasons. In this backdrop, a film in the combination of Amma Rajasekhar with Nithin raised many an eyebrow.
Amma Rajasekhar to play villain
Popular choreographer Amma Rajasekhar turned director and became very close to the hearts of mass audiences with his films like 'Ranam' and 'Khatarnak'. Now, he had decided to come in front of the camera too. Unlike other choreographer-turned-directors like Larencce and Prabhudeva, he doesn't want to play hero. Instead he wants to do a villain role. Directed by Amma Rajasekhar, the film will have Srihari as hero while Priyamani is being considered as heroine opposite Srihari. 'Poru' is the title under consideration for the movie. Presently 'Amma' Rajasekhar is busy with 'Bheebhatsam' in which his brother Yuvan is playing the debut hero.
