Actress Raveena Tandon says she would prefer if classic comedy "Andaaz Apna Apna" is made into a cartoon film rather than a remake. "I think I would be happy if 'Andaaz Apna Apna' could be made as a cartoon film rather than a Bollywood remake or sequel. I believe once a film is considered a classic, it is not a great idea to remake a film," she said at the media interaction on Mighty Mom Awards and press screening of Chota Bheem Himalayan adventure. "The chemistry between Aamir and Salman or Lolo (Karisma Kapoor) and me was a different magic altogether. It was a great experience," the 41-year-old actress said. Raveena, who was part of many commercial successes like "Dilwale", "Mohra", "Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi" and "Ziddi" during the 1990s, said she would like to work with new actors but everything depends on the character. She said she has worked with newcomer Amit Bashisht in "Shabd", which is directed by Onir. Asked which of her films she likes to watch over and over again, she said "Mohra" and "Andaaz Apna Apna". Tandon made a comeback in Bollywood in Anurag Kashayp's "Bombay Velvet", playing a sultry jazz singer. After completing Onir's "Shabd", where she plays a socialite, the actress has also reportedly committed to Anurag Kashyap's "Return Gift".
Aamir and Salman's Andaz to meet again
Both Aamir Khan and Salman Khan possess excellent timing for presenting humour onscreen. The film 'Andaaz Apna Apna' directed by Raj Kumar Santoshi which came in the early 1990's brought together the two khans and they took the audience for a hilarious fun ride. The movie is still remembered for its wonderful story line and scenes which still comes up during people's discussions about movies that have left a mark for ever. How we wished that the two lead actors would come together to recreate the same innocent magic once more. The times have changed and the khans are now in their 40's but still entertaining people with the same enthusiasm as they were before. Aamir Khan bonding again big time with Sallu was immediately gobbled up by the media. The best thing to come out from this rejuvenated friendship is that the perfectionist has started to think of him and Salman teaming up again. Aamir is in talks with Raj Kumar Santoshi and has even offered to produce the film. Nothing has been finalized yet as the new film may not be a continuation of the story of 'Andaz Apna Apna' but an altogether new one. If the movie ever gets made, it will be a wonderful experience and we the audience will be assured of a much superior movie. This will happen because today Aamir Khan has grown into a very mature actor as well as a successful producer and he will have more control on how the story and the screen play is developed. Salman is also one of the most bankable stars in today's Bollywood. So both have their reputation and the expectation of thousands of fans to consider and do I have to say that when Mr.Perfectionist is at the helm of things, the movie will also turn out to be too perfect.
