A special write up on Vikram's 26 year long acting career
Today marks the 26th year since Chiyaan Vikram’s debut film En Kadhal Kanmani which was released on the 17th October 1990. However, it was Sethu (2000) which took his career to the next level but it was 10 struggling years from 1990-2000 which made him a tough actor. He tried his hands on supporting roles, few hero roles; he even worked as a dubbing artist in a few noteworthy films. He had acted in around 24 movies from 90’s to 2000 but none of the movies actually gave him the space to prove his mettle which finally happened through Bala’s Sethu. Post that, there is no looking back. He might not have given as many hits as he would like to but he has an archive of wonderful characters that he could be proud of. Be it commercial or critically acclaimed films, he is among the best. Though he was working meticulously hard on every single project of his, he had to come across many failures in his 26-year long career. But he does not let failures control him but just keeps on working hard and trusts every project and director to the fullest and gives his best. His career is a motif that other aspiring actors can look and be inspired of. We hope he enthralls us with a lot more fascinating movies like Pithamagan, Sethu, Saamy and Anniyan.

Shankar sir plays a pivotal role in my career growth. I feel so happy to finally work under his direction for the first time, that too in a massive film like Enthiran 2. FIA thrashes allegations against Vikram
Prakash M. Swamy, President of America Tamil Sangam, recently criticised Vikram's attitude during the Independence Day parade by America Tamil Sangam in the US. However, now the FIA (Federation of Indian Association NY NJ CT) has thrashed the report and has stated that they are thankful to the Anniyan actor for making the event memorable. In a press note, the clarified, "FIA is grateful and extremely thankful to Mr. Chiyaan Vikram for being a part of India Day Parade. Even though he had a very busy schedule with his film slated to release next week, he enthusiastically agreed to be part of this event not as an actor or a South Indian but as a proud Indian. We were shocked to see a recent vituperative social media post by Mr. Prakash M Swamy, and we would like to categorically state that nothing in that post is true but rather a figment of his imagination. And we would like to add that Mr. Vikram was invited as a guest of honor by FIA and Times Network only, and Mr. Prakash had nothing to do with it or the event. We understand Mr. Vikram has been greatly pained by this malicious post. We reiterate that Mr. Swamy’s post has malicious content that should be condemned and ignored."
