Actor-director Ravichandran has decided to release his magnum opus by November. Ravichandran himself declared this during the audio launch of 'Ringmaster'. 'I have decided to release the film by November 1st. The film has been delayed and you will get the answer about why the film has been delayed. I have tried a different type of editing for this film, which no one has tried so far. So, it is taking a lot of time. The film is in the post-production stage and I hope to complete the film soon and release it by November' said Ravichandran.
Ravichandran's 'Apoorva' Will Have Sudeep's Voice-over
Ravichandran's upcoming film Apoorva will have Sudeep's voice over. As the story unfolds inside an elevator, a parallel story will be narrated, that happens outside the lift, according to its director, Crazy Star. Speaking to Times of India, Ravichandran has said, "While the camera mainly captures the story that is unfolding inside the lift, there is another story unfolding outside the lift at the same time that is conveyed only through sound.
Crazy Star Ravichandran's Apoorva Cut Down By 20 Minutes!
Crazy Star V. Ravichandran's dream project Apoorva released to mixed responses, last Friday(May 27). Most of the cinegoers were of the opinion that the movie is very slow, this feedback impacted the collections of the movie in the weekend as well. Owing to the responses, the director and producer V. Ravichandran has trimmed the movie by 20 minutes. When the movie was censored a few months back, the duration was 139.52 minutes. Now the duration of the movie is close to two hours which is a reply to the fans/audiences complaining about the pace of the movie. Speaking to a leading publication on the occasion of his 55th birthday, Ravichandran has said that the English quotations shown at the start of the movie and a few unimportant scenes from the second half have been edited. He further said, there is a group which is working against him, creating negative buzz for the movie but he is not bothered about this, as the collections are good. He also stated that he was not happy with the movie being trimmed by 20 minutes but did it, respecting the views of cinegoers. The edited version was screened from yesterday(May 31) and team is hoping for a positive response. Apoorva which was released in over 150 theaters by Ravichandran's own banner Eshwari, through Jayanna Combines opened to fantastic response at box office despite mixed reviews. New girl Apoorva played the title role. Kiccha Sudeep and Kempegowda Ravishankar's cameos is one amongst the various factors liked by audiences. Vijay Raghavendra and Spandana Vijay have played their real life characters of a husband and wife, this being debut movie for Spandana Vijay. GSV Sitaram is the director of photography, Gautham Srivatsav has assisted Ravichandran in composing and background score apart from singing all the songs in the movie. Crazy Star apart from starring in the movie, is the director, producer, distributor, music composer, editor, art director and choreographer for this movie.
They are threatening to kill me: Apoorva
Weeks after Poojitha approached the police with a complaint that she had been at the receiving end of intimidation at the hands of an IPS officer at the behest of her husband, Apoorva, the well-known character artist, has complained to the SR Nagar police that there was a threat to her life. Going into the details of her complaint, Apoorva has stated in the complaint that her car met with a road accident at Film Nagar on May 21. As her car was almost mangled, those guilty of hitting the car volunteered to get the car repaired. She sated that they so volunteered keeping in mind the fact that she is a celeb. Wanting to avoid controversy, says Apoorva, they even kept their car with her, promising to take it back when they return her car. However, complains Apoorva, some people had been observing her moves near her house at SR Nagar for the past two days. Doubting mala fide intentions, Apoorva has approached the police for help, alleging that there is a threat to her life. Apoorva even said that 10 unknown persons turned up at her home and threatened her with dire consequences.
