In the power star Puneeth Rajkumar, Ramya and Meera Jasmine starring 'Arasu' Kannada film produced by Dr.Rajkumar banner the two top heroes Darshan and Aditya are making guest appearance. In what occasion they appear on screen in 'Arasu'? That is suspense. The similar suspense was maintained by Dr.Raj camp when Ramesh Aravind acted in their home banner 'Hrudaya Hrudaya' starring Shivarajkumar and Anu Prabhakar. Meanwhile 'Arasu' is progressing fast to appear on silver screen in January 2007 third week. The maximum shooting was held in Farm Made House and Frankfurt city for 'Arasu' by director Mahesh Babu.
Rajini watches Kannada Arasu
Taking a break from the busy schedule for his Sivaji, Rajinikanth watched a special screening of the Kannada movie Arasu at Four Frames Preview Theatre in Chennai on Sunday. Accompanied by his daughter Soundarya, Rajinikanth watched the Kannada movie, which is doing well in Karnataka. It may be recalled that it was Rajinikanth, who urged his son-in-law Dhanush to do the Tamil remake of Kannada hit Jogi after watching the movie in a special screening recently. Arasu stars Punith Rajkumar, Meera Jasmine and Ramya in lead roles. Buzz is that Dhanush will do the remake of Arasu too, since he was highly impressed with the film.
Arasangam crew not for Canada
The shooting for Vijayakanth starrer Arasangam was slated to kick off in Canada this month. But the latest buzz is that the shooting has been delayed since a few crew members of the movie could not get their visas. Directed by Madesh, the movie features Vijayakanth in the role of an instructor in Police Training College. Plans were on to shoot the movie in Canada by the end of this month. Newcomers Navneeth Kaur and Seril Brindo will play Vijayakanth's heroines. Srikanth Deva will score the music while A Venkatesh will handle cinematography. Pattukottai Prabhakar is penning the dialogues. Stunts by Rocky Rajesh will be the highlight. Buzz is that a few in the Aransangam have not been got their visas. As a result the shooting has been postponed. And some sections have it that the shoot maybe fully done in the USA itself.
Arasangam and Nepali sold
Gone are the days when producers used to worry about the distribution issues of their films. The distribution blues have been considerably reduced after the advent of Corporate Firms entering the field. We could witness more and more corporate firms entering in to the area of film distribution besides producing films. The distribution rights of Vijayakanth starrer 'Arasangam' and Bharath starrer 'Nepali', the movies that are expected to hit the halls by the second week of April, have been sold to Corporate companies. While Pyramid Saimira has procured the distribution rights of 'Arasangam', Reliance Company has bagged the rights of 'Nepali'. The rights of 'Nepali' has been sold to two crore rupees while the amount given for 'Arasangam' is yet to be known. But Pyramid has given the whole amount even before the film is released. It is said that the gesture is in reciprocation to the help rendered by Captain when the company got in to a big trouble during its beginning stage.
Arasangam opens big
Vijayakanth starrer 'Arasangam' has opened big. The actor-turned-politician's 150th film 'Arasangam', directed by Madesh hit the screens on Friday. The movie has managed positive reviews from the audience. Interestingly in the rural areas, the movie has managed a good response and reportedly witnessed full houses. The stunts, which are a highlight in Vijayakanth's movies, in 'Arasangam' have gone well with his fans. The movie which features Vijayakanth in the role of a instructor in police training college is sure to become a blockbuster, say Vijayakanth fans. Distributed by Pyramid Saimira, 'Arasangam' would be a big hit among Vijayakanth sympathizers.
'Arasangam' to speak in Hindi
Vijayakanth's 'Arasangam' has made it big at the box office. Director Madesh is happy to have delivered his best considering this to be Vijayakanth's 150th film. The movie features Captain in the role of a instructor in Police Training College. Interestingly, Madesh is now gearing up to do the movie in Hindi. Buzz is that Bollywood hero Ajay Devgan has been impressed by the storyline of 'Arasangam' that he has expressed his desire to do the Hindi version of the movie.
