More news →'Ayirathil Oruvan' resumes filming
After many deliberations at the Producers Council on Monday over the film 'Ayirathil Oruvan', all issues were sorted out and Selvaraghavan has agreed to commence shooting of the remaining portions of the film. The movie starring Karthi, Reema Sen and Andrea went to the floors a year ago. However with Selvaraghavan reportedly exceeding the budget, producer Ravindran knocked the doors of the Producers' Council. After much deliberation by both parties, a solution has been reached and both parties accepted to it. This undisclosed solution has made it possible for the movie to resume shooting. Over 80 per cent of the film is already completed. The last and final schedulae has begun at the Ramoji Rao film city in Hyderabad. Parthiban plays a cameo in the movie and music by G V Prakash.
Karthi is Ayirathil Oruvan
Director Selvaraghavan has titled his directorial venture starring Paruthiveeran fame Karthi and Reema Sen as Ayirathil Oruvan. Interestingly, Ayirathil Oruvan was a yesteryear blockbuster featuring MGR, Jayalalithaa in the lead roles. The movie brought laurels to MGR and also helped him stabilize his political career. The new Ayirathil Oruvan will go to floors this August. A racy thriller, Ayirathil Oruvan would have musical score by Yuvanshankar Raja. Buzz is that Dhanush (Selvah's brother) will play a guest role in the movie. Karthi is on a roll after his maiden venture Paruthiveeran went on to become a big hit of the year.
Aayirathil Oruvan: cold and hot
Director Selvaraghavan is making the whole team of 'Aayirathil Oruvan' shivering. No, they don't fear the captain of the ship. They are shivering in cold. The first schedule of the shooting was held in the jungles of Moonaru. Everyone including Paruthi Veeran Karthi, Reema Sen, and Andrea were shivering under the cold and awaiting the day to return home. Now Selvarasghavan is planning to put them under the scorching sun in Rajastan Deserts. He has planned to shoot a song and a few scenes in the deserts. 'Aayirathil Oruvan' is Karthi's second film following his successful maiden venture Paruthi Veeran. 45 days of shooting is completed and the next schedule is expected to begin soon.
Aayirathil Oruvan shivering in cold
Selvaraghavan, Karthi, Reema Sen, Andreya and others belonging to 'Aayirathil Oruvan' team is now shivering in cold due to the snow in Jaisalmar, Rajastan. The team has recently moved to Rajasthan from the jungles of Tamil Nadu. Jaisalmar has come under the severe cold and hence the team is finding it tough to cope up with the atmosphere. However, the shooting ' which is forced to be confined within the day time, (9 AM - 4 PM) ' goes ahead without much problem, thanks to the hard work by the cameraman Ramji. He is using two cameras and working meticulously to finish the work within the stipulated time. Director Selvaraghavan, who is satisfied with the work being done, is planning to wrap up the shooting soon. If everything goes according to the plan, the second movie of 'Paruthi Veeran' Karthi will hit the screens during the summer season. Selva is planning to start his next project, 7G Rainbow Colony in Hindi, by June. 'Aayirathil Oruvan' has many surprises and Parthiban doing a cameo is one among them.
Selvaraghavan speak on Aayirathil Oruvan
Selvaraghavan, who so far maintained silence about his forthcoming movie 'Aayirathil Oruvan', has opened his mouth for the first time. According to him, the movie will be unique and different, quiet reflecting its title. ' I selected Karthi for the role even before the release of Paruthi Veeran. He dons the role of a youth, who is very different from others. Playing opposite him is Reema Sen, who is tailor-made to her character in the film.' Adding more, Selva says,'This is the next step in my career. I have been shaping up the film in such a way to satisfy myself as well as the audience. I need Rs 30 crore to finish Aayirathil Oruvan in an convincing way.'
Vijay’s Sura takes over Aayirathil Oruvan
This years much waited film ‘Sura’ starring Vijay beats MG Ramachandran starrer ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’ in the climax and sea based shot sequences. ‘Sura’ film shooting is mainly going on in the sea and on the sea shores as the movie is based on sea life and fisherman. At present, the team of Sura had been filming in Thoothukudi to shoot key scenes and climax schedule of the film. Sources say that the climax shots in the movie will be shot deeper in the sea, so that the unit of the film had been traveling about 16km deep into the sea everyday. Sources say that Sura will definetly takes over ‘AO’ which also had climax in the sea and is going to be a summer feast for the viewer’s.
