More news →No bad reason for leaving Vikramaditya's film: Imran
Actor Imran Khan, who has stepped out of Vikramaditya Motwanee's film "Bhavesh Joshi", says there was no "bad reason" behind his decision to leave it. "I don't like to talk about reasons for not doing a film. It's disrespectful. There is no bad reason for leaving the film," Imran said. "There's something between him and me, so I don't want to disrespect anyone," he added. Imran was to play the lead in "Bhavesh Joshi". Last seen in "Gori Tere Pyaar Mein", the actor is currently awaiting the arrival of his first baby with wife Avantika. His films haven't fared very well at the box office, and Imran says it is indeed "disappointing". "Of course, it's disappointing, but one should learn to deal with it. I have always been choosy. I have done films that I have believed in. I don't think I have made foolish choices at all," he added.
SRK to Play Bad Guy in Dhoom 3
Shahrukh makes 'bad' look 'cool'. I've been saying it ever since 'Don' promos hit the air. Now, 'Don' is about to unveil his no-holds-barred villainous act soon but there's more good news for SRK fans. According to a well placed source, King Khan will be essaying the bad-guy role in 'Dhoom 3'. Bollywood is really getting confident when it comes to sequels it seems. For even before the release of 'Dhoom 2' the plans are already underway for 'Dhoom 3'. Another interesting bit of news is regarding Rishi and Neetu Kapoor's hot looking son Ranbir Kapoor. He is currently wrapping up his debut venture in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Saawariya' but his performance level has impressed the Yashraj banner so much that they've signed a three film contract with the Kapoor scion. And one of these films will be 'Dhoom 3'. And no, Sanjay Gadhvi won't be directing it. It seems a lot of Dhoom is in store for all you guys out there'.There's always Vvvvrrrooooommm'For more excitement. Right!
Why 2006 was bad for S-E-L?
The team of Shankar-Ehsan-Loy is one of the most talented music composers in the Hindi Film Industry. Not only do they come up with breathtaking melodies, their music arrangements and production values are always high class. After sweeping all the popular awards for 'Kajra Re' last year, S-E-L had an uncharacteristically low 2006. In spite of having three hit films 'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna', 'Don' and 'Salaam-e-ishq' this is a year when they repeated themselves constantly. I call it the 'Kajra Re' effect. For this number from 'Bunty Aur Babli' was so popular that S-E-L was expected to repeat its success. And then Himesh Reshammiya was churning out one hit after another during most part of the year adding even more pressure for being prolific. The preface of 'Tainu Leke' in 'Salaam'-e-ishq' has the same feel as the talkie portion in the beginning of 'Kajra Re'. The title track of 'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna' has a stark resemblance with 'Kal Ho Na Ho' (specially the piano sections). 'Mera Dil' (Salaam-e-ishq) finds similarities with 'Mitwa' (KANK), 'It's the time to disco' (Kal Ho Na Ho) is rehashed as 'Where's the party tonight' (KANK) and there's a bit of 'Mahi Ve' (Kal Ho Na Ho) in 'Saiyaan Re' (Salaam-e-ishq). The only album that Shankar-Ehsan-Loy can be really proud of this year is 'Don'. For they've reinvented their sound with this album. 'Main Hoon Don', 'Mourya Re' and 'Aaj Ki Raat' are splendid numbers with exceptional production values, cutting edge music arrangements and superb melodies. But the two remixes 'Ye Mera Dil' and 'Khaike Paan Banaraswala' let them down as they are several notches below the originals. Moreover, a couple of fantastic instrumental numbers from the album 'Don Revisited' and 'Don The theme' have been credited to unknown DJs who've done a fantastic job. So, on the whole, it's not really a completely S-E-L album. 'Dil Kya Kare' and 'Ya Rabba' (Salaam-e-ishq) are two beauties that they can be really proud of but alas none of their albums this year has been exceptional as a whole something on the lines of 'Dil Chahta Hai', 'Kal Ho Na Ho' or 'Bunty Aur Babli'. One expects Shankar-Ehsan-Loy will be back with a bang in 2007. For one expects nothing but the best from them. And hopefully the pressures from producers to repeat their earlier success wouldn't bog them down.

Priyanka Chopra plays bad roles better: Dwayne Johnson
Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra, who has now become a popular name in the West due to her role in American thriller series “Quantico”, will next be seen playing a negative character in upcoming film "Baywatch". Her co-star Dwayne Johnson feels the actress plays bad roles “better” than the good ones. “She's (Priyanka) cool, but does bad even better. Can't wait. #Baywatch,” Johnson posted on Twitter on Tuesday. The National Award-winning actress will be seen playing the villain in the movie, based on the popular 1990s TV series of the same name. Johnson, best known as The Rock, earlier welcomed the “Bajirao Mastani” actress on board by sharing a video on Instagram. In the video, he is seen in the frame with the former beauty queen against seaside. “She's one of the biggest stars in the world. Insanely talented, relentlessly smoking and extremely dangerous - perfect for #Baywatch. Welcome @PriyankaChopra to our bad a** and incredibly dysfunctional family. Cue Rated R slo-mo running on the beach. We start shooting next week. World. #WelcomeToBaywatch,” Johnson wrote alongside the video. One of the most watched TV shows globally, "Baywatch", was about the Los Angeles county lifeguards who patrol the beaches of Los Angeles, California. It starred David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson among others.
Richa Chadda to play shy girl in 'BAD', 'Ishqeria'
Richa Chadda has till now played the loud and bold girl on screen. With new movies "BAD" and "Ishqeria", she is ready to break her image with the role of a shy and conservative girl. Richa's acting talent has been widely appreciated in films like "Gangs of Wasseypur" and "Fukrey". But she is hoping to give the audience a different taste of her talent with her forthcoming projects. "I have played a shy girl in 'BAD', a girl who is conscious and dreamy. Even in 'Ishqeria', I play a girl who is shy and conservative," Richa told IANS. The actress also said that "BAD" is not a gangster film. "It is not a gangster film. A gangster is someone who has organised crime and has a large number of people working for him. 'BAD' focuses on a particular episode of Charles Sobhraj. It has nothing to do with a gangster film. I won't risk typecasting myself," she said. Talking about her role, she said: "I play a law student and not a gangster." One schedule of the film is over, and Richa says, as of now, the team has "a long way to go". "The first schedule was shot in Udaipur. We have some in Bangkok and some in Goa," she said.
