Sahara One Motion Pictures (SOMP), commissions 'Bheja Fry' fame director Sagar Ballary. Mr. Ballary who has carved his niche in the genre of comedy films will be directing three films for Sahara One Motion Pictures. The latest addition to the kitty of Gen X film-makers, Sagar has directed 'Bheja Fry' on a shoestring budget of 60 lacs, which went on to become one of the most commercially successful movies of this year, grossing 12 crores theatrically. The script of the first film under this arrangement is in its final stages and the project shall be going on floor by end of this quarter. The plots for other two projects have also been finalized by SOMP and scripting of the films will start soon. On this occasion, Seemanto Roy, Head ' Sahara Media & Entertainment Business said, "We welcome Mr. Sagar Ballary on board. We are sure that this association with Mr. Sagar will cater to quality cinema." He further said, "For the past one year we have been working on remodeling of our motion pictures business. By the first half of the next year audience will see many great movies from the stable of Sahara One Motion Pictures. " Sagar Ballary said, "It gives me great pleasure to be associated with Sahara One Motion Pictures. After Bheja Fry, I want to provide a diverse platter to the audience and I am glad that Sahara One Motion Pictures has provided me that platform and a wider canvas. My first film with Sahara is another funny film called Kaccha Limboo, a story of a fat, goofy thirteen year old boy who is caught amidst conflicting worlds of peer-pressure, puppy love, familial frustrations and high-school dilemmas. Unable to cope he follows his dream world of rebellion, runs away from everything in an attempt to carve out a special identity for himself. The film is a super adventure, a complete family entertainer."
Aagadu unit to head Bellary
Super Star Mahesh Babu’s Aagadu next schedule will be shot in Bellary and after this crucial schedule, the unit will head to overseas for canning songs. Recently, a schedule in Mumbai has been wrapped and director Srinu Vytla is happy with the film’s shoot progress. The Bellary schedule will begin from June 22. Tamanna is the female lead in the movie and Sonu Sood is the negative lead. Rajendra Prasad is playing a key role as Mahesh Babu’s father while Brahmanandam will be seen in a hilarious role. Aagadu is being produced by Anil Sunkara, Gopichand and Ram Achanta under the banner of 14 Reels Entertainment. KV Guhan is the cinematographer and Thaman is the music director for the movie.
