For disobeying the Central Sandhana Samithi order and giving lame excuse of ill health to avoid the dubbing of his portions for the film 'Chanda' produced and directed by S.Narayan ' the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce has taken a decision to ban Vijay from taking any film assignment for one year. This decision was taken by the Apex body KFCC in consultation with the major bodies like directors, producers, artistes and cinema workers association. To revoke the order of KFCC actor Vijay has to dub for the film 'Chanda' immediately and give an apology letter for director cum producer S.Narayan for inconvenience caused. All these problems cropped up because of delay in completion of Vijay's another film 'Yuga'. In a systematic way director cum producer S.Narayan announced the date of his release 'Chanda' as November 15 on the muhurut day - June 22. Orally Narayan agreed to release the film 'Chanda' starring Vijay after 50 days of screening of 'Yuga'. But the inordinate delay in making of 'Yuga' has become the major botheration. It is at this time Vijay intervened to save the new producer of 'Yuga' Mr Anand. This has irked director cum producer S.Narayan of 'Chanda'. Vijay abstained from dubbing for 'Chanda' and the inconvenient atmosphere reached a boiling point for him. The Central Sandhana Samithi and KFCC had to intervene on this matter.

Banning porn won't work, sex education will, experts say
New Delhi: Terming the government's crackdown on 857 pornographic websites an "act in haste", the country's top sex and behavioural experts have favoured making sex education mandatory for young Indian teenagers so that crimes like rape or child molestation can be efficiently curbed. According to them, a crackdown is not the solution as adults have a right to watch porn in the privacy of their homes and that right should not be taken away. "Banning porn websites is not the solution at all. Educating the youth about what sex and related behaviours are must be on the agenda of the present government," Dr Prakash Kothari, one of India's leading sexologists based in Mumbai, told IANS. The ban will only result in a boom for the pirated porn industry, experts say. "One doubts if this ban can be a fool-proof solution. It will probably increase the sale of pirated porn DVDs. A ban of this kind might actually increase sexual frustration and lead to other sexual and social problems," warned Dr Madhuri Singh, consulting psychiatrist at Nanavati Super Specialty Hospital in Mumbai. The experts, however, feel that when it comes to child pornography, prompt action is required. "Throughout the world, child porn is banned and generally stays off the internet. Problem is that some adult websites have links that lead to child pornography and those must be dealt sternly with," noted Dr Samir Parikh, director of mental health and behavioural sciences at Fortis Hospital in New Delhi. Objectification of women and child abuse are growing in our society, says Dr Parikh, but there has to be a proper mechanism to ensure that young adults do not get easy access to porn. "With the proliferation of technology, kids have easy access to porn and related materials and this issue has to be brought to the fore," he contended. Owing to the growth in the smartphone sector, online porn viewing is going to see an explosion in the next five years, a recent study said. According to Britain-based digital market research specialist firm Juniper Research, online porn watching will grow by nearly 42 percent in the next five years. The porn video hits will grow to 193 billion a year by 2020 from around 136 billion this year, it said. Growth is taking place in the video chat and webcam content area in the global porn industry that is worth $97 billion. Sexual literacy may be the need of the hour, feel others. "In the absence of proper sex education, ignorance prevails because porn is a double-edged sword," said Dr Sudhakar Krishnamurti, director of world-famous Andromeda Andrology Centre in Hyderabad. "Responsibility lies with all the stakeholders - government, media houses, social scientists, doctors, teachers - to ensure that sex education becomes the key to tackle rising cases of sexual abuse," Dr Parikh stressed. According to Dr Sameer Malhotra, director of the department of mental health and behavioural sciences at Max Super Specialty Hospital in New Delhi, "age-appropriate and sensitively handled sex education can help in preventing risky behaviour and addressing myths" associated with sexual issues. "Sex education will actually limit porn viewing among adults," said Dr Manish Jain, senior consultant (psychiatrist) at BLK Super Specialty Hospital in New Delhi. Parental guidance of age-appropriate surfing may also help. "Adults websites can be blocked on any computer and in any browser to prevent adult-themed content from showing up in web searches and on specific websites. Modify your computers with parental guidance," Dr Jain advised.
Forget museums, train services are now banning the selfie stick
While temples and shrines are an obvious draw for tourists hitting Japan, the nation's iconic bullet train also gets its fair share of attention. Before jumping aboard, travelers can often be seen grabbing a shot or two of the train's super-sleek front car as it pulls into the station. However, with the selfie stick growing in popularity, operators of the famously punctual service have decided to slap a ban on the device. That's right -- if you want to grab a selfie with a bullet train, you'll just have to do it the old-fashioned way and stretch out your arm. Or, heaven forbid, ask a stranger to take it. Judging by a new poster released by the train authorities, its marketing team has had no shortage of ideas about what might go wrong if you attempt to deploy your beloved extendable monopod close to the tracks. Besides platforms, West Japan Railways (JR West) has also banned the stick in all of its station service areas, as well as on platforms for other train services besides the bullet. JR West told the Japan Times that the selfie stick annoys other train users and could cause accidents and injuries if used improperly. The selfie stick has been picking up an increasing number of bans around the world at sites such as museums and sports stadiums, though JR West's ban is thought to be one of the first transport-related ones to be imposed. Clearly not one to miss a trick, photographer Steve Sawitz recently secured funding for a more compact device that could help selfie fans skirt the ban. The Grip Dat is a cradle/quick-release monopod for your smartphone that doesn't extend, so if used discreetly should allow you to grab a rock-steady selfie instead of fumbling about with your phone in your hand while trying to grab the shot.
Bangistan' a poker face comedy: Riteish Deshmukh
Actor Riteish Deshmukh, who plays one of the leading roles in "Bangistan", says that the film is a poker face comedy. "'Housefull', 'Dhamaal', 'Masti' were physical comedies having slapstick and loud humour but 'Bangistan' is poker face," Riteish told. "There are a lot of films where there are extraordinary reactions to ordinary situations but in this film, there are extraordinary situations so you have to be ordinary to get the humour out," he added. The story of "Bangistan" revolves around two budding terrorists who decide to swap their religion in order to finish the other community. Directed by Karan Anshuman and produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidwani, the film also features Pulkit Samrat. Riteish is well-known for his comic timing and working with him was definitely an exciting thing for Pulkit. "In 'Bangistan' my character is pretty interesting and I enjoyed playing the part. It is also the first time that I was getting an opportunity to act with Riteish, so I was very excited. The script was very nice and intelligently written. A serious issue has been portrayed in a funny manner in the film," he said. The movie is set to release on 31 July.
'Bangistan' doesn't have to make Rs.100 crore to be hit: Riteish
It started with the Rs.100 crore club and has now reached the Rs.300 crore club and is always on the minds of actors, producers and directors but "Bangistan" actor Riteish Deshmukh said that they're not expecting the film to even touch the lower mark. Asked about the obsession, Riteish told : "When you sign a film, you are aware what range the film can touch. If you do 'Housefull' and 'Grand Masti' and they collect Rs.100 crore, you can expect the next one to do similar business. "But when we do 'Bangistan', we're not expecting the film to touch Rs.100 crore because for this film to be successful, it doesn't need to reach that figure. Every film has a budget and a certain target audience in mind and the Rs. 100 crore mark is not necessary for every film to be successful." The film, directed by debutant Karan Anshuman, also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and is releasing on July 31.
