More news →Best Of Balayya 1 Million Views in 1 Day
Thanks to the hype surrounding the historic epic, Nandamuri Balakrishna's Gautamiputra Satakarni's teaser unveiled yesterday has created a wave of sorts and gone viral as soon as it's released. The high-budgeted film's teaser crossed over 1 million views on YouTube in less than 24 hours, sending all Nandamuri fans into a tizzy. Based on the story of 2nd Century Satavahana ruler Satakarni, touted to be India's greatest warrior, director Krish has done an extensive research including the kind of fabrics that were used in 2nd Century BC. This is not all. Balayya worked out so hard to look fit as king. Apparently he would wake up at 3.30 am in the morning and worked for two hours before he would make it to the sets at 6 am sharp. Also Balayya used to work 14 hours daily and said to have maintained the same energy level from the day's beginning to the end/ Balayya's commitment and dedication said to have inspired all other team members. Shriya Saran will be seen as the queen opposite Balayya while Hema Malini plays Rajamatha Gautami.
The best of CES 2016
If there were an unofficial slogan for the Consumer Electronics Show this year, it would be Evolutionary, not revolutionary. Let's be honest, groundbreakers were in short supply at CES this year. There was no news out of Vegas that blew our socks off. Not that this is a terrible thing. The good just got better. Drones are still commanding the air space. Cars continue to work hard on driving themselves. Virtual reality keeps on climbing. Our homes are getting smarter and smarter. Televisions are reaching the apex of perfection. Technology continues to become more personal as self quantification is still all the rage. And at the core of our world, our namesake even, the mighty PC still looms large, albeit slightly smaller and sleeker than the year before. With yards and yards of convention center space, thousands of products, plenty of opinionated analysts and editors at CES, it wasn't exactly a breeze to finalize our top picks, but we fought it out to bring you this list of 18 standouts. Many of these products, we believe, will be key in shaping the tech landscape for the next 12 months. And some of them might not even make it to market. A good number of our Best of CES 2015 winners were top performers in our lab last year, while some vanished into the ether. You can take a look at how our 2015 picks fared, but for now, here are the most interesting, innovative, and important things we saw at CES 2016. –Wendy Sheehan Donnell
Kollywood Got Best of SIIMA, Tollywood Failed
One of the biggest South Indian awards events, SIIMA was so colorful this year with number of stars in their best fashion wear on the glittery nights with loads of fun and awesome moments. Stars from all South Indian films graced the event and all of them enjoyed the function. But only the Tamil film makers were able to grab some light along with awards ceremony and stars, while Telugu film makers failed to do so. Let us see why that is. Finding all the South film fraternity at one place is not a small thing. Making it an advantage, some Tamil film makers launched their film trailers at the event and obviously they get all the eyes at the venue on them for few minutes. The trailers of star hero's film and another movie Romeo were launched at SIIMA this year. While no one from Telugu filmdom looked upon this opportunity to catch some attention their films can get, though there are lots of small and medium budget films getting released in short time. Big ticket films get their promotion and publicity anyway. No one dares to disagree the best chance of promoting their films at such huge events and Tamil film makers made the optimum use of SIIMA event. Looks like our Telugu film makers need to think a second about making the best use of these award functions to promote their movies, that too when the organizers are from our own Telugu land.
Janatha Is NTR’s Best of the Best
Junior Ntr is a powerful performer. He can easily portray toughest of emotions at a cakewalk. Many directors explored the best of NTR in past films but Koratala Siva reportedly presented Tarak in best ever characterization which will remain on golden lining for his total career, says a member closely connected with ‘Janatha Garage’ unit. As the film is set for grand release on September 1st, expectations have reached sky high wherein pre release trade calculations have put the film almost in Top 5. Away from these commercial equations, NTR is known to have bagged a character with multiple shades and Koratala needs to be appreciated first for such immaculate designing. NTR is the best and Mohan Lal is also the best. How could it be, when such two powerhouse performers come face to face before camera? This is the reason why ‘Janatha Garage’ is rated as best of the best for Junior. ‘Viewers will discuss less about his dances, fights and dialogue delivery as they will be thrown into NTR’s mesmerism with overall character portrayal. The glance we got in the promotional stuff is just a bit of it, there’s lot more to see on screen on September 1st. Keep your anticipations as high as you need, NTR and Koratala will out par them,’ the same source added with confidence.
