Bharath, the poster boy in Kollywood, after the big hit in Pattiyal, is busy with offers pouring from all quarters. Awaiting the release of the romantic entertainer Azhagai Irukkirai Bayamai Irukkirathu, the actor's next Emttan Magan has started to roll. A happy Bharath, speaking about Pattiyal, gives all credit to director Vishnu Vardhan. 'But for a good tight script by Vishnu, I don't think, me or Arya would have come out in flying colors. He deserves every appreciation,' he adds. On his experiences playing a deaf and dumb ruffian in the movie, Bharath says, 'I did what Vishnu wanted me to perform. I had made visits to deaf and dumb schools in Chennai and watched them very closely to give the right output on the screen.'
Bharath feels encouraged
Bharath has his plate full thanks to back-to-back hits in Pattiyal and Azhagai Irukkirai Bayamai Irukkirathu. The success has brought him offers from various production houses and some established directors have offered the lead role in their movie to Bharath. A thrilled Bharath says, 'I'm happy that I've been doing different types of roles for directors talented in different ways. I did get a lot of praise for Kadhal. After seeing Pattiyal, Vijay phoned to say that I was improving with each film. Vikram, Jyotika, Trisha, Suriya and others also have encouraged me. This gives me a great deal of strength and confidence'. Bharath is currently working in Veyil from director Shankar's film company. Directed by Vasantha Balan, it is an emotionally charged film shot in Virudhunagar. He is acting Emttan Magan being directed by Thirumurugan. Besides he is acting in Chennai Kadhal being directed by Vikraman and also Koodal Nagar.
Bharathiraja joins forces with Agathiyan
Bharathiraja is fully immersed in his Hindi movie 'Cinema' which features Nana Patekar in the lead role. The movie which is about the story of a film director also has Tamil actor Arjun in the role of a tough cop. Bharathiraja has plans to dub and release the movie in Tamil also. For the first time, this acclaimed director teams up with director Agathiyan, the National award winner from Kollywood, for the movie. Agathiyan, who shot to fame with movies like Kadhal Kottai and Gokulathil Seethai, will be penning the dialogues for the Tamil version. His films Selvam and Ramakrishna went down without a trace. Agathiyan, who was briefed the storyline by Bharathiraja was greatly impressed and has reportedly begun all works. He has temporarily shelved his plans to direct a movie.
Bharath wants to go solo
Bharath, who made his debut as one of the boys in director Shankar's Boys is currently acting in four movies including Emdan Magan, Veyil, Chennai Kadhal and Koodal Nagar. His last Pattiyal directed by Vishnuvardhan became a blockbuster and helped him establish a place for himself. Sharing the screen in the movie with Bharath was Arya. Now busy with enough offers, Bharath says, "enough of two hero roles". Asked why, the tall and handsome actor , says, "it is not a question of ego or anything like that. But two hero films have their own hassles. That's why I want to keep away from two hero subjects."
Bharath takes wings
Bharath, director Vikraman and Co had left for abroad to shoot some song sequences for their next release Chennai Kadhal on Friday. The movie being produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu features Genelia opposite Bharath. Vikraman makes a comeback after a long gap to wield the magephone. One of the big budgeted movies from Kalaipuli Internationals, 'Chennai Kadhal' would have a major portion of the song sequences being shot abroad. Meanwhile, Bharath is going steady following a good outing in Pattiyal in which he played a deaf and dumb youth. Currently he is acting in Emtan Magan, Veyyil and Koodal Nagar. Chennai Kadhal is different for it is more about romance and emotions, says Bharath.
Bharath's new film
After Pattiyal, Bharath has signed another movie for SG Films owned by 'Punnagai Poo' Geetha. The famous RJ from Malaysia, who ventured to production with Arindhum Ariyamalum continued her successful run in Kollywood with Pattiyal which featured Bharath and Arya. The success of Pattiyal has emboldened the producer to sign Bharath for her new venture. The movie would be directed by Asokan, who wielded the megaphone for Parthiban-Vadivelu starrer Kundaka Mandakka. The movie has been titled Pandhayam. Search for the rest of the cast is on. Bharath is currently shooting for Emttan Magan followed by Chennai Kadhal. Once the shootings are over, he is expected to commence Pandhayam. Asokan had narrated the story to Bharath and the latter has been highly impressed with the script. He immediately gave a go ahead to commence the project.
