Mr.Bhatti is to rap

How will it be hearing a rap song sung by Anupam Kher? Before the song starts, the mind will be filled with thoughts on how Mr. Kher must have carried of this task as we have never heard his voice coming out in the form of a well made song before. But it's going to happen soon. Mr. Bhatti as he is called in his new film titled as 'Mr.Bhatti on Chutti' is to collaborate with Sidharth and Suhas to sing the rap parts of a song titled as 'Bhatti's gonna get you'. We will be seeing Anupam Kher in the video of the song too in which the different characters of the film will also be appearing. One among the most respected and proven actors and an integral part of Bollywood, Anupam Kher is among the few performers other than the leading men who can carry off a film on his own as the central character. If the makers have made him sing certain portions of a rap song, it must be not just for creating a difference but could be because they must have felt that this versatile actor can contribute perfectly well in making the song better.

Bhatts launch two new directors

If there is a parallel industry run by a select group of men in Bollywood, it is VISHESH FILMS. Much more successful than high profile 'FACTORY' when it comes to churning one successful musical hit after another, VISHESH FILMS recently celebrated success in the form of 'GANGSTER' and is now gearing up for the release of 'THE KILLER'. The film marks the launch of not one, but two new talents - Raksha Mistry and Hasnain S Hyderabadwala - who co-direct the film. After Anurag Bose and Mohit Suri, the directors who have tasted success while being associated with the Bhatts, Raksha and Hasnain seem to be set in the right direction to come up with a potential masala entertainer. Not surprisingly, the film stars the usual suspect Emraan Hashmi who plays a cabbie while Irrfan Khan is the other lead who enacts the role of a stranger who boards the taxi and is a man on the mission. And no, the film is not another 'Taxi No. 9211' but a different subject altogether!

Bhatts watch AWARAPAN

Sources reveal that director Mohit Suri has completed the edit of his next directorial venture, AWARAPAN. A rough copy of the film, which clocks two hours, was reportedly seen on Sunday night by the film's producer and presenter, Mukesh Bhatt and Mahesh Bhatt. Mukesh Bhatt and Emraan Hashmi fly to the UK on Monday for a media conference in Central London on Tuesday, after which Emraan will head to the IIFA Awards (Yorkshire) for his live performance to promote AWARAPAN. The key singers from Pakistan, Rafaqat Ali Khan, Annie and Mustafa Zahid, will also attend the AWARAPAN conference and sing live for the media.

Bhatts unveil their collection on home video

With competition heating up amongst home video companies to bring out the best of titles on low price DVDs and VCDs, T-Series has now come together with the Bhatts. In the first set of the films being unveiled at a low price for consumers to create their own library, Bhatts have provided T-Series titled like Sanjay Dutt starrer KABZAA, Paresh Rawal's classic TAMANNA, Aamir Khan's super-hit GHULAM and Nagarjuna's surprise box office failure CRIMINAL. Common factor amongst each of the four films is an intrinsic dramatic layer that streams through them. Now one waits for other notable titles too from the house of Vishesh Films to be made available for an enviable collection.

Bhatts bring their movie repertoire on affordable DVDs

Thanks to Moser Baer bringing a revolution in the home video circuits, most companies have reduced the prices of DVDs and VCDs drastically. T-Series, after bringing open their catalogue by coming up with approximate 100 titles at dirt cheap prices, has now bought rights of films by Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt. Some of the most notable films by the Bhatt brothers which are available for less than Rs. 50 are GHULAM, TAMANNA, CRIMINAL, KABZAA, NAJAYAZ, JAANAM and JURM. In the pipeline are some more notable films releasing at affordable prices on T-Series, an announcement of which would be made soon.

Bhatts film on Bhutto faces objection

If it's anything to do with Pakistan it has to be either Mukesh or Mahesh Bhatt. After having a large number of film themes revolving around Pakistan, Mr.Bhatt was all set launch his new film on Benazir Bhutto. The film which was stated to be a co-production between Anila Khan (Benazir's secretary's sister) and Vishesh films has now faced objection from Bhutto's husband Asif Ali Zardari . Zardari claims that it was agreed between him and Benazir that only renowned Hollywood filmmaker Robert Redford of All the President's Men and The Candidate fame would direct a film on Benazir. As Mukesh Bhatt is in discussion with Zardari's lawyer in Dubai it is still not known whether the intellectual property rights have already been sold to Robert Redford. In any case looks like Shabana Azmi has to wait a while before she steps into Bhutto's shoes.
