Now more news on Vikram's Bheema. Reports have it that Nana Patekhar, the enigmatic Bollywood actor who was cast amidst huge hype, seems to have walked out of the project. The reason? Well, it may have got something to do with the financial problems of the producer A M Rathinam. Of course, there is still no official word on this. Sources also say that Nana's role may go to Prakash Raj.
Bheema back on track
After a brief interval, the shooting for Vikram's Bheema commenced in Chennai on Thursday. The movie directed by Lingusamy was halted for sometime and now it has began again with a bang. Supposedly an action-packed entertainer, Bheema stars Trisha opposite Vikram and Prakash Raj is playing a pivotal role. Few sequences involving Vikram were shot at Royapuram on Thursday. A major portion of the movie has been completed while a couple of songs remain to be shot. Lingusamy is planning to complete the movie and release it for this Tamil New Year's day.
Bheema gathers weight again
The shooting for Vikram's Bheema is on at a rapid pace. The movie is now heading for a quick finish. On Monday, director Lingusamy was busy shooting for a stunt sequence at a dilapidated building at Mount Road in Chennai. Stunt sequences involving Vikram were being choreographed by Kanal Kannan. Speaking at the break, Vikram said, 'There is a lot to look forward to in the movie. To look muscular and in good shape, I always carry a mobile gym with me to shooting spots. I work-out before every shot.' Talking about his next film Kandasaamy, Vikram said, 'It will go to floors in the third week of February. Plans are on to release the film this August.'
Bheema - Shooting at mid sea
Vikram's Bheema is fast nearing completion. AM Rathnam is producing the movie for his Surya Movies. Directed by Lingusamy, the film stars Trisha opposite Vikram. The film went to floors last year. The scenes in Rameshwaram have already been shot and now the unit has moved to Tuticorin. A song sequence with Vikram and Trisha was picturised for the last few days on a huge ship located in mid sea.
Bheema: When will it release?
Director Lingusamy is considered the man with the Midas touch in Kollywood. Not just his directorial ventures, but also his home production has emerged successful. However the director is tight-lipped when queried about the release of Bheema. The coming together of Lingusamy, Harris Jayaraj and Vikram created a sensation almost a year ago. However Lingusamy has managed to complete the shooting but for a song sequence. Post-production works too have commenced at the right earnest. Asked when the movie would hit the screens, Lingusamy maintains a 'stoic silence'. With big films Sivaji, Mayakkannadi and Kireedom releasing in several theatres followed a slew of releases in May, Lingusamy might hope for a release after June. He feels it would be appropriate to release the movie after the colleges and schools open.
Bheema nearing completion
Finally the long-pending Bheema will come to close on Sunday. The movie starring Vikram and Trisha in lead role is directed by Lingusamy. A song was shot in New Zealand too. The entire talkie portion is over and a song sequence had to be shot. According to Lingusamy, 'We would shoot the song at Prasad Studios on Sunday. Vikram would be back from Thekkady to take part in the shooting'.
