'Bheja Fry' breaks the Bollywood jinx

Friday, the 13th, has always been considered unlucky for the release of films. Movies released on this day and date have either fallen into all sorts of trouble or bombed. But recently released 'Bheja Fry' has clearly broken the jinx. Inspite of releasing on Friday the 13th of April, the film has not only received rave reviews for its rip-roaring brand of comedy, but has also done decently at the box-office all over the country. Like its debutant actress Bhairavi Goswami rightly puts it, "Goes to prove a good film always works."

Bheja Fry fame Director Sagar Ballary for 3 films

Sahara One Motion Pictures (SOMP), commissions 'Bheja Fry' fame director Sagar Ballary. Mr. Ballary who has carved his niche in the genre of comedy films will be directing three films for Sahara One Motion Pictures. The latest addition to the kitty of Gen X film-makers, Sagar has directed 'Bheja Fry' on a shoestring budget of 60 lacs, which went on to become one of the most commercially successful movies of this year, grossing 12 crores theatrically. The script of the first film under this arrangement is in its final stages and the project shall be going on floor by end of this quarter. The plots for other two projects have also been finalized by SOMP and scripting of the films will start soon. On this occasion, Seemanto Roy, Head ' Sahara Media & Entertainment Business said, "We welcome Mr. Sagar Ballary on board. We are sure that this association with Mr. Sagar will cater to quality cinema." He further said, "For the past one year we have been working on remodeling of our motion pictures business. By the first half of the next year audience will see many great movies from the stable of Sahara One Motion Pictures. " Sagar Ballary said, "It gives me great pleasure to be associated with Sahara One Motion Pictures. After Bheja Fry, I want to provide a diverse platter to the audience and I am glad that Sahara One Motion Pictures has provided me that platform and a wider canvas. My first film with Sahara is another funny film called Kaccha Limboo, a story of a fat, goofy thirteen year old boy who is caught amidst conflicting worlds of peer-pressure, puppy love, familial frustrations and high-school dilemmas. Unable to cope he follows his dream world of rebellion, runs away from everything in an attempt to carve out a special identity for himself. The film is a super adventure, a complete family entertainer."

When Rajat asked 'Bheja Fry' heroine not to cheat

After seeing her perform the resounding slap to Rajat Kapoor in Sanjay Bellary's rip-roaring comedy 'Bheja Fry', people seem to be wary of actress Bhairavi Goswami's solid hand. But we got to know, it was actually not her fault. While enacting the scene, Rajat, known for his professionalism and perfectionism, insisted Bhairavi should not cheat the camera and go ahead with the tight slap required for the scene. What he didn't realize was that it would take many rehearsals and four "painful takes" before the director would say 'OK'. Tch Tch!

"I want to live in a zoo" - Bhairavi (Bheja Fry)

She's got Bipasha's duskiness, Priyanka's poise, Mallika's bust and Sushmita's brain. Here comes the new addition to the hep Bollywood brigade. Her name is Goswami, Bhairavi Goswami. She's been in the page-3 circuit for some time and is now making a subtle foray into films playing key characters in Sagar Bellary's comedy 'Bheja Fry' (released with rave reviews this week) and Rahul Kapoor's silent film 'My Daddy Strongest' which will mark the return of Kumar Gaurav. So make way for the new bombshell. She also has her own sense of humor. Recently, at a television shoot for the promotion of 'Bheja Fry', all the lead actors decided to wear dark glares just for fun. But Bhairavi Goswami absolutely refused to don glares. She said, "I have spent half an hour curling my lashes and applying mascara, how can I hide it." Understandably so, since she spent quite some time doing and redoing her make up. Since the cast was called two hours earlier for the press conference, Bhairavi was quite tired and her make-up was not so fresh. Just before the screening was about to start she rushed downstairs to the MAC make-up counter and got the make-up artists to give her a makeover. Soon she breezed in along with the other guests looking fresh as a daisy. On being asked where she sees herself five years from now, guess what she replied! No, she didn't have the clich© 'happily married', 'winning awards' or 'doing big-banner films' answer. The hardcore animal-lover that she is, Bhairavi wants to "own a huge zoo with lots of rare animals and live in the middle of it." Okay girl, you managed it. Our bheja is fried! And by the way, she's even got Paris Hilton's socializing nature!
