Bhavana has emerged the latest heartthrob of Kollywood, who has signed a spate of movies. The actress, who is just one-film-old in Tamil, has attracted all attention. The success of her maiden film Chithiram Pesuthadi has won her almost half-a-dozen prestigious offers including Naan Kadavul to be directed by Bala featuring opposite Ajith. At a time when the Nayantra and Meera Jasmine from Kerala started to rule Kollywood, the arrival of Bhavana has resulted in a keen contest. Though she is flooded with offers, Bhavana says she won't do glamorous role even if they shell millions. She is currently shooting for Kizhakku Kadarkarai Salai opposite Srikanth directed by S S Stanley.
Bhavana declines offer
The latest buzz doing rounds in Kollywood is that Malluwood lass Bhavana, who made a successful debut in Tamil with Chithiram Pesuthadi, has reportedly declined an offer opposite Vijay in his next movie which is a remake of Telugu movie Pokiri, to be directed by Prabhudeva. Bhavana, who is busy acting in three movies in Tamil now, has reportedly refused to act in the movie as she is busy with her earlier commitments.
Bhavana stands firm
Bhavana is, as we say, is the actress of the moment. The cute Malayalam girl has films left, right and centre. Naturally, some call-sheet issues are bound to be there. She finds herself in an unseemly issue with the team of Kizhakku Kadarkarai Salai. Now Kizahakku Kadarkarai Salai is a movie that has Srikanth as hero. Directed by S S Stanley and produced by Andanan, a PR assistant of Srikanth, the movie has been progressing well. But now it is struck with a problem over Bhavana's reported reluctance to travel abroad for a song. But Bhavana says that her call-sheet was not fully utilized by the team. A Lot of time was wasted on that. Further, she says, there was no suggestion that a song was to be shot abroad when I signed on. Bhavana, the gritty girl, is now standing firm.
Bhavana uncomfortable with glamour
Doing versatile roles and establishing a place for myself in the industry is my ultimate, says Bhavana. The Malluwood actress, who has taken Tamil cinema by storm with an excellent portrayal in Chithiram Pesuthadi is a busy commodity acting in half-a-dozen movies including director Bala's Naan Kadavul. She is part of big projects like Arya opposite Madhavan, Veyyil opposite Bharath, Kizhakku Kadarakarai Salai with Srikanth, Deepavali opposite Jayam Ravi and Bala's Naan Kadavul. Bhavana says, 'I always want to be remembered as an actress, who can do varied roles. Glamour is not my forte. I feel uncomfortable wearing skimpy costumes.' She has shot just a couple of days for Naan Kadavul and is hopeful that the movie by Bala would be a trendsetter in film industry.
Bhavana - An unexpected vacation
Bhavana is still a kid at heart. The young actress is one of the busiest in the circuit. She has been acting non-stop for the last few months. After the success of Chithiram Pesuthadi, Bhavana is moving towards the top league in Tamil. She has been signed up for at least six films. As it happens, last week Bhavana got an unexpected but much-needed break. As her co-star in the film Deepavali, Jeyam Ravi fell ill, the shooting was cancelled for nearly a week. Bhavana tried to rework her schedules. But nothing happened. So Bhavana was happily off to her hometown Thrissur to enjoy the bliss of her parent's company. She enjoyed the break and is now back recharged and refreshed.
