Shilpas nemesis Jade evicted from Big Brother
The House fell into a stunned silence following the news that Jade was on her way out, in a mixture of sadness and relief. 'I just nearly suffered a heart attack,' Shilpa sighed upon hearing the news, as a procession of huggers queued up to wish Jade well. 'You will be ok,' whispered Shilpa to the evictee. 'There's nothing to fear. Don't start me crying,' joked Jade as a few stray tears began to well up. 'I don't want to cry.' In the mandatory hug aftermath, the housemates sat back down and reflected on recent events, with words few and far between. Jack functioned as his girlfriend's rock, in that he had a stony exterior and said nothing. Cleo tried to lighten proceedings by issuing a rallying call: 'Come on! We need to stick together and be strong here,' but it was to no avail as heads were bowed in abject silence. 'This is a horrible game,' muttered Jo. 'I don't understand what's going on.' By this stage Shilpa had slipped off to that most glamorous of locations ' a toilet cubicle. Ian soon joined her. 'I don't want her to go out like this. I pray to God there's no problem for her out there,' Shilpa said mid-bawl. 'If I went out today I would have defended her.' Ian agreed with the sentiment, saying: 'Jade can go out with her head up high because she's done nothing wrong.' Shilpa then rejoined Jade and her cohorts on the sofas, which by now had the atmosphere of a morgue. 'It always works out for the best in the long run,' Shilpa said to the evictee in a bid to comfort her. Things finally began to kick off! Well, in one sense anyway. For Dirk, Ian, and Jermaine headed to the kitchen for a spot of escapist fun by playing table football. 'I'm the champ!' proclaimed the A-Team actor. Meanwhile, Jade was trying to reassure the others by saying: 'I've been in this situation before... I'm the 25th most intellectual person...' 'Influential,' interjected Shilpa. Right'It seems Indians are better at English'.I bet they are'. Life won't be easy for Jade. For Indian businessmen have been publishing advertisements in newspapers inviting her to India and get a taste of Indian hospitality. Shilpa, on the other hand is tipped to being the front runner by London bookies for emerging triumphant out of Big Brother house. Lord Meghnad Desai on the other hand termed the whole incident as 'Candy Floss Racism'. Hmmmm'..Never mind the candy'At least, the subject is being debated upon heatedly. Hope it benefits expatriate Asians'.

Sorry, no more 'Big Brother' - Shilpa Shetty
After winning the world's leading reality show 'Celebrity Big Brother' in UK, the media has been abuzz with reports of Shilpa Shetty being a part of the 'Big Brother' house in Australia. But the actress' spokesperson and publicist Dale Bhagwagar states otherwise. "She won't be a part of another reality show," he says and adds, "Shilpa participated in the UK 'Big Brother' as she wanted to do something new in her career and take one step ahead in life. It threw challenges untold and she emerged a stronger and more confident person. Since then, she has moved on in life," he said. On being asked about the rumors that Shilpa could be a part of a show as a guest to promote her forthcoming film, Metro, her publicist declined it right away. Currently, the actress is looking forward to her upcoming film 'Metro' with heartthrob Shiney Ahuja and powerhouse performer Kay Kay Menon. The film is going to get a grand international release in a fortnight. Around the same time, Shilpa will also launch a perfume in her name, mainly targeted at the UK market.
Big B in 'Cheeni Kum'
Debutant director Balakrishnan had written a script one-and-half years ago keeping Big B in mind. Now the film is going on floor in April in Film City. It has been titled Cheeni Kum and stars Amitabh Bachchan, Tabu, Paresh Rawal and Zohra Sehgal. It is produced by Sunil Manchanda. The movie is titled 'Cheeni Kum' because it is little less mushy as compared to other films. It is a sarcastic love story in which Tabu is paired opposite Bachchan while Paresh Rawal plays Tabu's father. Zohra Sehgal is seen as Amitabh Bachchan's mother. The movie will be shot in Mumbai, Delhi and London over a period of three-and-half months. Music is by Ilaya Raja.
Big B's glasses - Yet another controversy bites the dust
Has he paid the tax? Or has he not? Numerous questions were raised yesterday when news flashed about Big B wearing glasses worth a few lakhs in his upcoming film 'Zamaanat' and then gifting them away to the film's producer/director. Media had a field day flashing the news all over that IT department had sent a notice to Big B raising questions about the multi-lakh glasses. In quick time, old cases were also discussed about IT being on a chase as far as their earlier notices to Bachchan senior were concerned. But all this proved to be just a rumor/false reporting as IT declared by evening that nothing of this sort had happened at all as the story had no credentials. In the film 'Zamaanat', Big B plays the character of a blind lawyer who wears big black glasses that covers a major part of his face. Long in the making, the film also stars Arshad Warsi and Karisma Kapoor and is aiming at a June/July release.
