The Hindi version of recent Malayalam hit 'Katha Parayumbol' made in the title 'Billo Barber' will start rolling by the month of June. The movie, to be directed by Priyadarshan, will have King Khan doing the role that of the film star that Mammootty had done in the original. Irfan khan will do the role of the title character while Juhi Chawla is almost finalized for the role of the wife of the barber. According to the latest reports, Bollywood glamour queens, Kareena and Deepika Padukone will also appear in the movie in a couple of songs with Shahrukh Khan.
Billo Barber starts to roll
Priyadarshan gave a new comical experience to the Bollywood viewers by his own style of humour. He brought with him interesting tales that took the audience for a hilarious ride. Viewers wish to see the coming together of this highly talented director with the Khans never worked out fully. Out of the top three khans, only Salman Khan has done a film with Priyan before. As soon as the announcement of 'Billo Barber' was made, B-town is waiting to see how good the combination of Priyadarshan and Sharukh Khan will be. People have high expectations as Priyadarshan is known as the director who gave Akshay kumar and Suniel Shetty a big change in the form of lead actors for his comedy film 'Hera Pheri'. The image of both these actors changed drastically after that film and helped them to be considered for roles with other flavours too. Sahrukh, on the other hand has already proven himself to be very good in humour and light hearted roles. Irfan khan plays the title role of the barber in the film. Produced by Red Chillies Entertainement , King Khan's production company, 'Billo Barber' the remake of the Malayalam super hit 'Katha Paruyambol' is sure to get appreciation for its simplicity. After 'Om Shanti Om' Sharukh will be seen again playing the role of a superstar. If the reports are to be believed the shooting of 'Billo Barber' has already started at Mumbai. Kareena's BILLO BARBER number - Unforgettable!
Come October and all Kareena Kapoor fans can look forward to a double bonanza. Rohit Shetty's Golmaal Returns starring Czarina of Bollywood hits the theatres at the end of October. Sources reveal that after Jab We Met, Kareena will be attempting hard core comedy and will be a riot in the film. Kareena plays the character of Ekta, who is a soap addict for the saas bahu kind of serials. Reports are that she is simply amazing !! Around the same time Billoo Barber releases too that has Kareena performing on an item song. Sources have it that the song that Kareena dances is one of the highlights of Billo Barber. "Kareena's song is crucial to the story of Billoo Barber. Like Kareena's famous song in Don that people cannot forget, the 'Billoo Barber' number would be unforgettable too. Kareena's name will become synonymous with the number", says a source. Come October and it surely looks like the numero uno Czarina is gonna rule the imagination of the nation!!
King Khan's Billo Barber shelved
Alas! For few, it's getting dashed down with their hopes, but that wouldn't prolong for a long time. The release of most expected Shah Rukh Khan's flick Billo Barber is shelved to next year. Earlier, plans were to release the film on November 7 and now has been postponed to January next. Catching up with some of the closest sources, we got to hear one fine rigid reason for the delay. With the Tamil version of Katha Parayum Pol, 'Kuselan' flunking at Tamil Box office, plans are to shoot remaining portions so peculiarly. Billo Barber indeed is the first flick that would have Shah Rukh Khan and Director Priyadarshan joining hands. Churned out by Shah Rukh himself under the banner of Red Chillies, the film features Irrfan Khan in lead. Well, King Khan performs cameo role as a film superstar. Meanwhile, for those yearning to watch their hero on screen will have something great to exult on December 12. Any guesses, why? Yup! Its meeting of titans, for the film 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' of duo combo Aditya Chopra-Shah Rukh will hit screens'
Bill Leke Dekho, says Ghungroo Basanti
Ram Gopal Verma is having a tough time dealing with the belligerent media backlash about his take on Ramesh Sippy's 'Sholay'. Right from Gabbar's weird look to change of names of the lead players, things are going awry for the maverick director. Recently music mazaa reported that the song-n-dance specialist Nisha Kothari has been roped in to play Hema Malini's Basanti. And her name will be Ghungroo and she wears a fancy (grotesque) outfit with a cap buckled in too. Now, the latest prop is something that for once is praiseworthy. And one needs to take note of it too. Ramu's Basanti (Oops Ghungroo) won't be riding a horse carriage instead she has a garish autorickshaw called Laila for company. The billboard on top of this garlanded, yellow-red coloured autorickshaw is 'Bill Leke Dekho' with two loudspeakers staring in opposite direction on the rooftop. 'Billa' aboard to Bangkok
Prabhas literally dons the role in 'Billa' opposite the ladies Anushka and Namitha playing the lead cast. Krishnam Raju enacts an important role in this movie directed by Meher Ramesh, the man behind 'Kanthri'. Gopikrishna Movies presents this movie in the combined production of Prabhod and Narendra. Recently from 20 to 27 October a song and chasing sequences have been filmed. The next schedule of the film is going to start from 7th this month, at the Bangkok and Malaysia. It is learnt that during this schedule some key sequences will be canned. Billa was launched under much fanfare during Vijayadasami on 9th October. Socialites of the film fraternity were present in this event and the movie is fast growing with the canning of a song and chase sequence between 20 and 27 of October. The next schedule starts from 7th of this month which will be made in Bangkok and Malaysia. News is during this time prominent sequences of the movie will be made featuring the lead cast.
