She belongs to the current crop of no-nonsense girls and looks every bit confident on the sets and during public appearances. Some call her snobbish. But in an industry where you have to be careful of unwanted attention, it is one way of warding off unwanted people. Mamta also dresses simply, yet elegantly and in keeping with the latest trends. We really hope some of the other younger actresses take a lesson or two from her. Given that she has been brought up in Bahrain, she carries off her Western wear really well and does not go overboard in trying to look like a south Indian actress by ending up in sequined sarees or salwars.
Jackie Shroff is bindaas about Tiger-Disha ‘friendship’
While there's buzz about Ayesha Shroff asking Tiger's rumoured girlfriend Disha Patani to stay off him, we spotted the young actors at a city multiplex on Wednesday night. They looked visibly happy in each other's company and even left the theatre together, with Disha at the wheel. Rumours about Ayesha not approving of her son's 'good friend' started doing the rounds after Disha recently holidayed with the Shroff family —Jackie, Ayesha and Tiger, at a resort. There were whispers about how the two ladies barely spoke to each other during the vacay. However, Jackie has strongly refuted the rumours. Speaking to Bombay Times, the actor said, "It doesn't matter what anyone says. Disha and Tiger are friends and we're cool with it. Let them be, please!"
Bindaas Mallika pinches poor Akshaye's butt
As the release date for 'Shaadi Se Pehle' comes closer [the film is slated for a April 6 release], the scoops about the film have started making the rounds with good intensity. One such scoop about is that Mallika Sherawat pinched Akshaye's butt who was left completely unaware and clueless when the incident happened. Though there was a warning by Miss Mallika, it was just a split second gap before she actually embarrassed the hell out of poor Akshaye. Well, before you start wondering how did the rest of the cast and crew present on the sets reacted, then hold on your thoughts as there were no complains whatsoever. It's because this in fact requirement of one of the scenes where the character played by Mallika needed to come dangerously close to Akshaye and do the things as mentioned above. And you thought that Mallika would never fail to turn naughty at any given instance, didn't you?!
Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai on fire
Fire broke out yesterday at 2am on the sets of Ravi Chopra's Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai . The film which stars Govinda , Tabu and Lara Dutta has suffered a heavy loss of costumes and other equipments. BR films confirm that the losses have amounted to Rs 1.5 crore. More than the monetary losses greater damage has been done in terms of the time lost out which amounts to a week of shooting. The actors were scheduled to shoot on Friday but now shooting resumes much later after the sets are re- erected. The exact cause of the fire hasn't been determined and fortunately there are no causalities.
