Don't Blame Me for Flops: Bunny's Heroine
Catherine Thresa is on cloud nine after scoring her first commercial success with 'Sarrainodu'. She is quite happy about the fact that audience have appreciated her role as an MLA. When asked why she wasn't able to deliver successful films so far, Catherine replied, 'Don't blame me for the flops! Lot of factors should work for a film to succeed. Sometime, Even the luck should favor. Hits & Flops aren't in my hands. You can't measure a heroine's talent simply based on hit ratio. If a film hits bull's eye, Hero takes the whole credit. When should one blame the Heroine when a film turns dud?'. The 'Iddarammayilatho' Actress explains she is choosing only the best from what was offered to her when quizzed about playing Second Fiddle in all the three films she signed opposite Allu Arjun. 'I don't bother about the screen time. May preference would always be the importance my character have in the movie,' she clarifies. Catherine Thresa signed a film each opposite Vishal and Arya. She is yet to sign her next project in Tollywood after 'Sarrainodu'.
'Autonagar Surya' makes slow start, expert blame delay in release
Actor Akkineni Naga Chaitanya-starrer costly Telugu actioner "Autonagar Surya" could earn just Rs.5.8 crore in the opening weekend in Andhra Pradesh. Experts blame delay in its release for its poor performance at the box office. "The film collected Rs.5.8 crore in the opening weekend. It was supposed to do well, but the delay in its release affected its box-office prospect. Even 'Manam' success couldn't help Chaitanya in impressing audiences," trade analyst Trinath told IANS. Naga Chaitanya's family drama "Manam", which turned out to be a stupendous hit, is still running in cinemas. Directed by Deva Katta, "Autonagar Surya", also featuring Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Sai Kumar in important roles, came out Friday. The makers of "Autonagar Surya" were hopeful that "Manam" success would help their film in luring audiences. However, it didn't work in their favour. This is not the first time that delay in a film's release has cast a shadow on its box office business. "This is not the first time delay in a film's release has affected its box-office run. In the past 'Anji', 'Paisa' and 'Damarukama' were delayed and faced the similar fate when they were released," he added.
