Bharathiraja's Hindi venture Cinema is nearing its completion. Starring Nana Patekar and Kajal Agarwal, the movie has musical score by Himesh Reshammiya. Nana Patekar plays the role of a director in the movie. Arjun plays a pivotal role in the film. A crime thriller, the movie is being simultaneously made in Tamil as Bommalattam. The big news now is that Bharathiraja is planning to dub the film in Telugu and release it together with Tamil and Hindi version. The Telugu version is titled as Kalidas. With Arjun enjoying good patronage among Telugu audience, Bharathiraja feels that is no bad idea to dub it in Telugu.
Bommalattam to hit screens from 27 June
Noted director Bharathiraja's 'Bommalattam' starring Nana Patekar and Arjun will hit the screens from 27 June. The gripping thriller based on casting couch in Indian cinema, is simultaneously being made in Hindi titled 'Cinema'. Bollywood music composer Himesh Reshammiya has composed tunes for the film. The Tamil version is complete and will release soon. In the flick, Nana plays a film director who runs into problems both in his reel and real life. Arjun reportedly plays a tough cop who is behind Nana Patekar in the movie. Kajal Agarwal plays an actress in the film. 'Cinema, which throws light on the real life of the reel artistes, should set a new trend in the industry', opines Bharathiraja. 'All my artistes have contributed their best. But for their unstinted support, the movie could not have been completed', he says.

Director Bharathiraja's Hindi movie Cinema starring Nana Patekar is shaping up well. The movie which dwells on the life of a film director is being shot at a brisk pace by the director. After his last Tamil film Kangalal Kaidhu Sei, Bharathiraja chose to stay away from the limelight. However he happened to meet Nana Patekar once and narrated him the story of Cinema. An impressed Nana Patekar took no time in confirming his dates for Bharathiraja. According to Bharathraja, 'Nana is one of the few talented actors in the country, who gives his maximum in every scene. His commitment and urge to get it perfect amazed me.' Also featuring Arjun, Bharathiraja is planning to release the Tamil version of the movie. A movie on filmdom, the director has aptly titled it Bommalattam.
Bharathiraja completes talkie part - Bommalattam
Director Bharathiraja has completed shooting the talkie portion of his much-awaited Hindi venture Cinema. The movie is simultaneously been made in Tamil as Bommalattam. Starring Nana Patekar, Kajal Agarwal and Arjun in the lead roles, the shooting commenced a few months back. Quick to complete the shooting, Bharathiraja has commenced the re-recording for the movie. The film has musical score by Himesh Reshammiya, while re-recording by Monty Sharma. The latter had scored the background music for Amitabh starrer Black. The movie which featured Amitabh Bachchan and Rani Mukerji won accolades for Amitabh's portrayal, Ravi K Chandran's brilliant cinematography and Monty Sharma's background music.
