Sameera bitten by the funny bug!
There are a very few heroines who have a great timing for comedy and the one latest belonging to this breed is Sameera Reddy. This lass, whom we saw essaying serious characters in a couple of her earlier films is doing comedy too with equal ease! With a handful of films in her kitty Sameera is one happy girl. With her 'Race' to hit the screens soon this belle has something to comment on the film. Though the film is a high budget movie with Bipasha Basu and Katrina Kaif, Sameera Reddy plays an assistant to Anil Kapoor who is a detective. In another film directed by Kumar Mangat titled 'One, Two, Three' she has some 'romantic' scenes with Paresh Rawal! Now this one should really be funny! Sameera plays an executive selling cars and she sometimes uses her 'feminine' charm to have customers her way. And Paresh Rawal tries to sell some male under garments to Sameera! With the talented Paresh Rawal a part of this humor team this film is sure to make you fall off your seats in laughter. Sameera is also acting in a romantic flick with South Indian heart throb Suriya in a Tamil film titled 'Vaaranam Aayiram' directed by Goutham Menon.
Neil floored by the Chote Ustaads
Emotions were at its height as all the contestants & judges showcased the emotional theme of 'Bidaai'at this week's Star Voice of India Chote Ustaad. But despite the episode being a tearjerker, the surprise celebrity guest, Neil Nitin Mukesh stole the show as his presence set the perfect mood for the evening and encouraged the contestants to perform their best. Neil became really emotional as contestant Prakriti sang. He recalled the day his sister got married since the same song was sung at her wedding. The only boy in the all-girls gang, Vyom Kapoor, sang 'Chalo doli uthao'. Neil was floored by Vyom and asked him if he would sing for him in the future. These songs also reminded Pritam & Kunal about their sister's marriage and how much they miss their presence. Pritam said that he and his elder sister used to fight like cats and dogs and that he sobbed endlessly when she got married. Kunal recollected the way his sister, who's now in the US , used to complain to his mother saying that their mother loved Kunal more. Shreya Ghoshal siang 'Ab ke baras bhej bhaiyya ko babul', but broke down in the middle as she was unable to control her emotions. She then requested the Chhote Ustaad participants not to forget her and to always stay in touch with her. Looks like this Friday's episode of Chote Ustaad is a sure tearjerker.
'Dasavathar' - Stamp of Authenticity by the Academicians
Film making is of course a vocation meant for the highly creative people who can visualize, make stories, fantasize, go wild with their imagination and to some extent manipulate. For the majority of the films released there is not much of a need to research and find out facts and clear doubts. The reason is that most of the stories are a direct result of pure imagination and the script do not really demands an extensive investigative study of any kind. As all knows the story of Kamal Haasan's dream project 'Dasavathar' is a saga that travels back to the history right to the 12th century and then back to the 21st century the historical and scientific factors involved in the story of the film needs to be researched in an extensive manner. So a team of acclaimed Professors, Academicians and Historians of IIT-Madras, Madras University, Tanjore University, Archaeological Survey of India and Department of Culture of Government of Tamilnadu were brought on board to help the team of 'Dasavathar' by sharing their valuable experience and lend their knowledge for making the script more authentic and completely error free. This was done not only for making the story of the film more griping and perfect, but also due to a reason that once the film is released, even small errors and misrepresentations can create controversy. If this film can attract the ire of some sections of people who filed petitions against the film even before it got exposed to the viewers then we can just assume what will happen if some facts, historical beliefs or scientific truths gets really misrepresented in 'Dasavathar'. So seeking the involvement of all the eminent experts and through them getting the precise information which is needed for the giving an edge to the content of the movie can also be termed as a way of making a protective shield to bail out the movie even if any one accuses it in the future pointing some reason or the other. It takes time, coordination and lot of hard work to consider the knowledge given by the academicians team and incorporate it into the film. This shows the dedication and the urge on the part of the Team of 'Dasavathar' to come out with a movie which can truly represent the word 'epic'.
