Chakravarthy turns director
Chakravarthy, who stole the show in Satya, has now made a comeback as a director for one story in horror flick Darna Zaroori Hai with Randeep Hooda. He has also directed a comedy flick Darwaza Bandh Raakho. Darwaza Bandh Raakho has a cast of 35 actors including Chunky Pandey, Isha Sharvani, Manisha Koirala, Divya Dutta, Gulshan Grover and Aftab Shivdasani among others. The film is about kidnapping a Gujrati girl Isha and 35 uninvited people coming up at her place. Chakravarthy will also start working on another film by the end of May.
Chakravarthy back with a bang
Varalaru has helped revive producer NIC Arts Chakravarthy's fortune. The movie managed to win good reviews and collected good revenue at the box office. Back in full vigour, thanks to Varalaru's success, is NIC Arts Chakravarthy. He has commenced his next production venture starring Silambarasan and Trisha last week. The launch was a low-key affair. The movie directed by Tharun Gopi features Prakash Raj in a prominent role. 'It is an action-packed commercial entertainer', says Tharun Gopi. 'The movie would be shot from 15 March in Chennai and Theni and it would be wound up in four days,' he adds. Besides Trisha, a debutant would play Simbu's pair. Search is on for a suitable person to play the role, he adds.
Chakravarthy with Rajini for Robot
Director Shankar always brings with him many surprises in his movies. He introduced choreographer Raju Sundaram as comedian in his Jeans. He surprised everyone casting popular Tollywood actor Suman as baddie in his 'Sivaji'. Now going a step further, he has zeroed in on Telugu hero J D Chakravarthy as the villain for his magnum opus 'Robot'. The movie to be produced by Ayngaran International features Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai in the lead roles. Chakravarthy had acted in several Telugu movies and had worked with Ramgopal Verma.
Chakravarthy Shoot Going On At Brisk Pace
Here we have got a few exclusive updates about Challenging Star Darshan's Chakravarthy, directed by Chintan. The film is produced by Anaji Nagaraj and Siddhanth under Namana Combines. The team is shooting briskly for the film at different locations of Bangalore and Mysore. Currently, the team is shooting an item number in Mysore, which features Darshan and Ishitha Vyas. Ishitha Vyas has been a part of movies like Peepli Live and Gabbar Is Back, in the past. The song, which is being shot now is "Rani Rani Rani Mai Mumbai Ka Rani" which has been composed by Magical Composer Arjun Janya. The song is set in the eighties, so the sets will match those times. Apparently 150 members are included in the making. The movie is set in backdrop of eighties, so even this song will have retro feel to it. He has roped in the famous Bharath Brass Band, who will help him in getting the retro feel to the songs. Once the song shoot is completed, team will move to Singapore where around 25 per cent of the movie will be shot. A few important scenes will be shot in a 12 storied cruise ship and Chakravarthy will be the first Kannada film to be shot there. The director makes it clear that not only songs are being shot in abroad but a few major sequences are being shot there as script demands it. Apart from Singapore, movie will be shot in various locations of Malaysia and Bangkok as well. With the abroad schedule, team would have completed the major part of shoot except for the patch work. Also, if everything goes as per the schedule, team is planning to release the movie for Kannada Rajyotsava.
JD Chakravarthy in a negative role in 'Dubai Sreenu'
The shooting of 'Dubai Sreenu' directed by Srinu Vytla and produced by Bhagawan and Danayya on the banner of Universal Media with Raviteja and Nayantara in the lead, is in brisk progress. It is reliably learnt that JD Chakravarthy, who enthralled the Telugu audiences with fantastic performance in 'Gulabi' and 'Anaganagaa Oka Roju' is doing a role in the film with a negative touch. Devisri Prasad is giving tunes for the movie. The producers are making efforts to release the film in June as summer gift.
