'Chalk N Duster' will make you clap for your teachers: Juhi

Actress Juhi Chawla says that her upcoming film "Chalk N Duster" will deeply touch viewers and make them want to clap for their teachers and hug them. "'Chalk N Duster' is something that touches you, which makes you both cry and laugh. This is a story that'll touch you deeply, make you stand up and clap for your teachers or go and give them a hug," Juhi told. The shooting of the film had begun in April and Juhi said that now they are at its end and expect to release in a couple of months. The film has been termed an educational film about teachers but Juhi says: "It is about teachers and it involves children, but it's not just about teachers. It's about people, it's about ethics and the effect teachers have on their students. It's a lovely script." Juhi considers the film to be on similar lines of other films based on children's education and difficulties like "Taare Zameen Par" and "Stanley Ka Dabba". "It's from a similar genre. 'Taare Zameen Par' brought you something really new but at the same time, something that you would perhaps be aware of it and heard of, but it brought to the fore the experience of what it is to be dyslexic or to have a dyslexic child." The film is directed by Jayant Gilatar and has been produced by Amin Surani. It also stars Shabana Azmi, Jackie Shroff, Divya Dutta, Samir Soni, and Girish Karnad, among others.

Bhoomika Chawla out of Imtiaz Ali's next

Bhoomika Chawla has opted out of Imtiaz Ali's next film. Ayesha Takia has replaced her. The actress felt that she did not have the necessary dates. The film got delayed a little and later when the shoot was to commence she felt that those dates were already committed to some other films. The matter has been peacefully resolved with the producers, HMV and Imtiaz Ali and her. Incidentally, Bhoomika doesn't have a single Hindi film on hand. She has completed one schedule of a Tamil film with Surya and Jyothika. She also has signed a Punjabi film with Gurdaas Maan and another Telugu film. She also awaits the release of her film Mahatma v/s Gandhi. She may have done some big banner flicks but that does not seem to have helped her. She is conspicuous about her absence from the film Salaam E Ishq that also comes from the same camp as Tere Naam and Dil Ne Jise Apna Kaha. She does not really believe in camps that work in the film industry. On the other hand, Imtiaz is ready to start shooting for the film that got delayed as he and Bobby were both busy on prior commitments.

Celina chali Cairo

Celina is pretty ecstatic these days as the Egypt Tourism board has made her the brand ambassador of Egypt from India. Taking time from her hectic schedule, Celina made a trip down to Cairo to see the dynamic metropolis, which is also the largest city in the Middle East. Celina along with her team made a visit to the Media Production City on the outskirts of the city. It's what Film City is to Mumbai. "They have state of the art studios with best sets which can be used for shoots. I think they are very suitable for our Indian films as the facilities including a hotel close by make it a good option," says Celina. After the meeting Celina and her team met the Minister of Tourism, H.E Mohamed Zoheir Garana as well as Egyptian Tourism Authority Chairman, Amr El Ezaby. His Excellency, The Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr. Mohammed Higazy said, "We want people to know that Egypt is not just about the Pyramids. We are working strategically on the tourism industry in Egypt. We are spending half a million U.S. Dollars in the next six months to encourage traffic between India and Egypt." Prashant Chawla Loves To Multitask

Prashant Chawla aka Mahesh the oldest son in Teen Bahuraniyaan is quite a motivator it seems. Given the erratic hours of shooting this young lad takes out time for important chores like from keeping in touch with his family back home in Delhi to his personal wellbeing. Prashant says, "These days everyone's complaining of lack of time but time has to be taken out. Whenever I'm driving to work, I do my daily pranayam. Once through with it, I call up my folks and other important people to ask about their wellbeing. Then rest of the day I shoot with ease as I complete my important work in the morning itself. This is how I manage to keep my personal as well as professional life balanced." Prashant care to dole out some Time management tips!!

Juhi Chawla feasts on Gujarati cuisine

Hat's Off Production's popular show Baa Bahu Aur Baby will see our all time favourite actress Juhi Chawla visiting the Thakker family. The pretty lady went to spend an entire day with the cast of the team and needless to mention, they had a whale of a time together. She was there to promote her forthcoming movie Bhootnath. Apparently we hear, everyone on the sets were feeling apprehensive before Juhi's arrival, but their anxieties were put to ease when Juhi mingled with all of them like a house on fire and even shared Gujarati cuisine with the entire family, which was especially made for her, knowing her fetish for Gujarati food. This will mark one of the rarest appearances of Juhi Chawla on small screen. Producer JD Majethia recollects, "All of us had a wonderful time with Juhi around. She was mighty impressed with the way we function and also liked the concept of the show. All of us were completely bowled over by her warm and endearing personality. Hopefully we will get to see her on the sets once again." He further ads, "It's incredible that after all these years she still looks and sounds the same from her Qayamat Se Qayamat days."
