The release controversy between 'Chanda' and 'Yuga' both starring Vijay has reached a new level on Tuesday morning when Akila Karnataka 'Dhuniya' Vijay Abhimanigala Sangha staged a protest on the attitude of 'Chanda' producer cum director S.Narayan. Director Narayan has not invited Vijay for dubbing of his portion to 'Chanda' and this has irked the fans of Vijay. In addition to it director Narayan is breaking the gentleman agreement that he would release 'Chanda' only after 50 days of 'Yuga' screening has reached the boiling stage. Senior director cum producer S.Narayan is hell bent on releasing 'Chanda' on November 15 but a week earlier 'Yuga' is releasing. The 'Dhuniya' Vijay fans association shouted slogans and sat on Dharna at the busy Kamakshipalya bus stand blocking the traffic for one hour. Vijay also joined the dharna of his fans association and condemned the dubbing done to his portion for 'Chanda' film. It is a fight between senior and junior in the field of cinema. Vijay is also sitting on hunger strike on the day of release of his film 'Chanda'. Reputed director cum producer S.Narayan is of the firm opinion that he has not violated any agreement. "The slow pace of 'Yuga' shooting and post production of it has locked them in problem. I am disciplined in my profession right from the beginning of my career ", says intelligent producer and director S.Narayan.
Ganesha vs Chanda
The coming Friday (16th November 2007) two prominent Kannada films 'Ganesha' and 'Chanda' are releasing. Jaggesh and Ananthnag for the first time to titillate the funny bones in a fun riot by the stylish director Dinesh Baboo's 'Ganesha' is the first venture of producer Srinivasulu of Hospet. Comedy in every scene in Jaggesh starring cinema is a known factor. For this versatile Ananathnag known for wittiness on and off the screen present in this film has added extra dimension to draw the family audience and comedy lovers. Manikanth Khadri son of national and international fame saxophone instrument player Khadri Gopalanath makes debut in film music in Kannada from 'Ganesha'. Ajay Rao, Rangayana Raghu, Harish Rai, Ranjini, Vanishri, Vanitha Vasu, Meghana, Dharma are also in the cast of 'Ganesha'. 'Chanda' by director S.Narayan who is also producing the film in 'Cheluvambika Pictures' banner is releasing on this Friday has already gathered good remarks for the contents in the film. Vijay of 'Dhuniya' fame and director S.Narayan combination in this power packed film is anxiously awaited by the audience and media because the film has kicked up a row with 'Yuga' starring Vijay that is running at the third week all over Karnataka. Director S.Narayan has scored the music for the first time. Jagadish Wali is the cameraman and P.R.Sounderraj is the editor of this film. Shuba Punj of 'Jackpot' is playing the female lead in this film.
'Chandamama' shooting in brisk progress
The regular shooting of a film directed by Krishnavamsi and produced by C Kalyan on the banner of Teja Productions with Navadeep, Sivabalaji as heroes and Andhraiti and Madhusalini as heroines has begun in Hyderabad recently. The film is presently shooting at Jayabheri Guest House and a huge set was erected there for the purpose. Navadeep, Andhraiti, Madhusalini and some other senior artistes were involved in the shooting which is going on continuously. The film is being made a total commercial and youthful entertainer. It was expected that the film would complete the talkie shooting by June-end and efforts are on to release the film in July. Though 'Malle Puvvu' considered as title for the movie, 'Chandamama' was the title confirmed for the movie, it is reliably learnt. Krishnavamsi who earned the name as a creative director and who had several successes to his credit is taking this film as a prestigious project. Like 'Sindhuram and Khadgam', the director is trying to make this as a 'Small Big Film'.
Chandamama' begins shooting
The shooting of 'Chandamama' directed by Krishnavamsi and produced by C Kalyan with Navadeep and Sivabalaji in the lead was launched here recently. Madhushalini and Andhrieta were selected as heroines in this movie. However, Krishnavamsi did not like the performance of both the heroines. Immediately both of them were replaced with Kajal and Sindhu Tulani. Now the shooting of the film would begin afresh son. KM Radhakrishnan, who made his debut appearance for 'Anand' as music director is scoring music for the movie.
'Chandamama' cans songs
Directed by creative director Krishnavamsi and produced by C Kalyan 'Chandamama' with Sivabalaji and Navadeep as heroes and Kajal Agarwal and Sindhu Menon as heroines is presently canning a song in Hyderabad. Though some other girl was roped in as heroine, she was replaced with Sindhu Menon due to certain circumstances. A huge set was erected at Jayabheri Estates for the picturisation of the song and the current schedule in progress there. KM Radhakrishan scored music for the movie and the present song is being choreographed on both the lead pairs. Mega Brother and Movie Artistes' Association president Nagendra Babu is playing a key role in the movie. 'Chandamama' is the latest film being directed by Krishnavamsi after the release of a hit film 'Rakhee' with NT Rama Rao in the lead on the banner of Durga Arts.
'Chandamama' completes shooting
The shooting of 'Chandamama' directed by Creative Director Krishnavamsi and produced by C Kalyan on the banner of Teja Cinema with Navadeep, Sivabalaji, Kaajal and Sindhu Menon in the lead was completed recently. The film has a delicate sentimental drama. There is a father, who treats his daughter as his life and loves her more than his life. That daughter could not reveal about her love to his father, as she felt that it might hurt his father. This drama was moulded on the celluloid carefully. While Mega Brother Nagababu played the father's role which had elderliness, gentleness and goodness who loves his daughter very much. His character was also named SV Ranga Rao to suit the qualities. A major part of the film was shot at Jayabheri House. The film has a rural backdrop and at the same time, has a historical background of Hamsi. Radhakrishnan is scoring music for the movie.
