Charlie's Angles: Indian version
Previously 'heroines' were just there in the films for adding glamour, running around trees playing love games with our mighty heroes or were portrayed as type-casts shedding tears bucket after bucket! Or for screaming 'Nahiiii''.!' Things are slowly changing for the better in Bollywood for 'heroines'. Though we cannot shun the glamour aspect of their presence in films, present-day heroines are portrayed as beauties with brains and an 'I-can-take-care-of-myself' kind of air about them. You might think I am a feminist, which I am not. We are talking about the Indian version of the famous 'Charlie's Angels' that might start rolling soon. Rohit Jugraj whose latest release 'Superstar' has received good reviews is planning to make this film in Hindi. According to sources Rohit has been approached by Abbas Mustan duo to direct this glamorous action flick, and Rohit has confirmed that he will be directing this film. If rumours can be believed we might get to see the super sexy Sushmita Sen, Lara Dutta, and Priyanka Chopra perform dare-devil stunts and chase the bad guys. The contemporary version in English had starred Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu and had become a super hit in Hollywood as well as in India. Will this Hindi version be made to suit the taste of Indian audience with twists and turns in the plot, only time has to tell. Keep watching this space for latest updates!

My cop act in 'Charlie Kay..' different: Naseeruddin Shah
Actor Naseruddin Shah, who played the common man against tough cop Anupam Kher in "A Wednesday", says that his role as a police officer in suspense thriller "Charlie Kay Chakkar Mein" is completely different from Kher's role. "He was an idealistic, straightforward and honest police officer but the role that I'm playing is not at all like him," said Naseerudin to queries about similarities between the two characters, while attending the opening night of Prithvi Film Festival here. Both Kher and Naseeruddin had earned accolades for their performance in the fast-paced thriller directed by Neeraj Pandey, where they were seen going at each other with sharp, witty one-liners. "Charlie Kay Chakkar Mein" deals with drugs, and murder among other twists and turns. Regarding the film, Naseeruddin said: "It's a mystery and generally a thriller is described as, 'don't miss the beginning and don't reveal the end'. If I say a lot, the suspense will be revealed, so I can't talk much... you watch the film and make conclusions on your own." "Charlie Kay Chakkar Mein" produced by Karan Arora and directed by Manish Srivastava under the banner Picture Thoughts Production, is releasing on November 6.
