'Venkat Prabhu will definitely make a name for himself as a good director,' says SP Charan. The two are coming together for the movie Chennai 600028. The movie featuring a host of newcomers is directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by Charan. The movie is a treat for youngsters. Venkat Prabhu, who proved his credentials as a good actor, has taken a new avatar as director. His directorial skill has amazed one and all, says Charan. The movie is about youngsters and their love of cricket. If the film is released during the World Cup, it should get good publicity and should be received well, thinks SP Charan. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music for the film. There are nine songs in the album. 'The songs have been shot in a unique manner. Instead of the complete song, there will be excerpts on and off in-between scenes,' says Yuvan. For the first time, Yuvan has written lyrics for a song and sung it himself.
Chetanya Adib and Deepa to get married
Chetanya Adib aka Kunjan Pratap Singh of popular soap Saat Phere on Zee TV is getting married to his girl friend Deepa. "Till now we have been very busy buying and then furnishing our new home. Now that everything is done, it is time to get married and settled in life," laughs Chetanya. Chetanya is also planning a romantic holiday with his lady love. And where would it be? "That is our secret but I will surely let you know once we are back," he says. Is screen wife Shubhra listening? Chetnya Adib, was also busy dubbing for the series 'Alice'. Chetanya is also beginning the dubbing for 'Desperate House Wives' in Hindi. "Dubbing popular English films and shows between the breaks are fun," he laughs. It's an advantage to have a strong clear voice, clear diction and modulation ability. That was just the beginning and later there were series of serials done by him. He had moved to Mumbai in 1996 from Jaipur. He had done a lot of theatre in Jaipur, so he knows the nuances of acting better than many others. That gave him a lot of confidence. First serial done by Chetanya was Yuddh of Kushan Nandi. Although Chetanya's character was very tiny in this serial but he was part of it for 50 episodes. This was the first time he had faced camera. Later he did the main negative character for serial Kunti on DD which was telecast for two years. Then he did Mumkin, Swaraj, Papa. Babul Ki Duayen Letee Ja, CID, Aahat, Suraag, Lekin, Mohra etc. Chetanya has also done countdown shows on Zee TV and ATN.
Chennai, the hotspot

Stalin had a stint there. Meanwhile, the Sainikudu team, led by Mahesh Babu, was back in Chennai for a schedule. Now, Balakrishna and Sneha are sweating it out under P Vasu directorial eyes in Chennai for their film. They are shooting on the ECR, a scenic and a sprawling stretch along the coast. The road is popular among the film people as it has all the right things for a film shoot.
Cheena Thana 001 - Humor at heart
After the success of Unakkum Enakkum, the demand for remakes has increased considerably. The latest to hit the floors is Cheena Thana 001. The movie to be directed by T P Gajendran is the remake of a blockbuster Malayalam movie CID Moosa. The hilarious entertainer featured Dileep and Bhavana in lead roles. The movie was a blockbuster in Kerala. In the Tamil version, Prasanna will play the lead role. Acting opposite him would be Sheela. She made her debut opposite Navdeep in Ilavattam. Midvalley Entertainment, which made Madhavan's Thambi, will produce the movie. Deva would score the music for the movie which would feature Manivannan, Ilavarasu, Delhi Ganesh and Riyaz Khan in the supporting cast. Shooting for the movie would commence on 10 November. Plans are on to shot the song sequences abroad. T P Gajendran, who had started his career under Visu, says, 'Cheena Thana 001' is fully loaded with action, romance and humor. Sure to appease all section of movie-lovers would be Cheena Thana 001'.
Chennai Kadhal audio has a soft launch
The much-awaited audio of Chennai Kadhal directed by Vikraman was launched in Chennai on Tuesday. Unlike his earlier films, producer Kalaipuli S Thanu chose a soft launch for the audio of Chennai Kadhal. The audio was launched at his office without any fanfare. Chennai Kadhal features Bharath and Genelia in the lead roles. Vikraman, hitherto known for family sentiments, has chosen to explore romance in the movie. After working with his favorite music - composer S A Rajkumar for over half-a-dozen movies, Vikraman has joined hands with Kadhal fame Joshua Sridhar for Chennai Kadhal. The album has six songs penned by Pa Vijay, Vivek and Kalyanjee. Hari Haran, Karthik, Sunitha Sarathy, Sriram Parthasarathy, Naresh Iyer and Kalpana have sung the songs. Says Thanu, "It would be a different film from Vikraman's hut. He has made it look youthful and bubbling with romance."
