Harsh Chhaya as a villain

Harsh Chhaya was last seen on television in Sabse Bada Rupaaiya. He has just completed his soon to be released film Dhadkaney. He plays a villain in the film. He had never played commercial and full-fledged villainous role in the past. This is his first time. His character is called Maharaja or Badshah who has forces girls in to commercial sex trade. He brings up the lead actress of the film Preeti Mehra so that she can get into the business full throttle. But she runs away with Atin Bhalla who is the hero of the film and who she loves. Then Badshah runs a search for the two. The film ends in his change of heart. Love emerges victorious. The film is a combination of Salman Khan starrer Baghi and Sanjay Dutt starrer Sadak. Harsh's character in particular is similar to Sadashi Amrapurkar'r character in Sadak. Except that Harsh is not a eunuch. The film is being made by Manu Surti and directed by Khalid Imraan. The lead actors of the film are debutants. The film is expected to release at the end of this month. Chhaya is also playing one of the 6 corporates in the film Corporate being made by Madhur Bhandarkar.

Harsh Chhaya cuts a DVD for his gay role in FASHION

Madhur Bhandarkar finds his gay for Fashion? Well not literally! But veteran actor Harsh Chhaya is to been soon seeing playing a gay fashion designer in Madhur Bhandarkar's upcoming Fashion. Harsh who is known to experimental with his roles now will be seen for the first time playing a completely new character from what we have been seeing of them. Interestingly we hear Harsh was not the first choice for the role as he was considered an actor of too serious an image but Harsh was quite interested in the role to let go off it so easily and took big efforts into getting it too. Apparently he bought a wig, a few clothes that he thought would be appropriate for a certain look, a bit of make up, even plucked his eyebrows in shape and then shot himself on a video camera, edited the five minute piece and came up with a DVD along with some stills and presented it to Madhur and before he knew within couple of days the role was all his! "It is very rare to come across a successful director especially of Madhur stature, who gives his time and attention to an actor, when he could rather go ahead with his prior decisions and not let anything affect it. Very few people in the industry today give you that attention, especially when most of them are too occupied dealing with their own issues." He continues, "That is why Madhur stands out as a director, because quite obviously he believes in quality work. I would really like to thank Madhur who was so open to see what I had to put across ", says the actor. Well Harsh aren't we waiting to watch you now!

Harsh Chhaya does it for his wife

Though Harsh Chhaya was hardly a ladies man in his 2007 release LAAGA CHUNARI MEIN DAAG, in real life he is pretty much a ladies man. A little known fact about this versatile actor is that he is a very caring husband too. Harsh who is happily married to the pretty Bengali actress Sunita Sengupta is a doting husband it seems. Apparently Sunita recently bought a new car for herself, her very first and was understandably excited to drive around the city. But Harsh decided on taking over the steering wheel and treating her to a royal chauffeur driven drive around the city and give her a 'feel' of her latest possession. So while Harsh offered to chauffeur, we bet Sunita definitely had the time of her life sitting behind in the car. That was some affectionate moment there, we must say!

Chaya Singh - From acting to direction

Perhaps taking a cue from director Madhumitha, who directed Chaya Singh for the film 'Vallamai Tharayo', the actress has now decided to wield the megaphone. Says the actress, 'I will soon be directing a film with a friend Shreyas Sundhiera. The movie is tentatively titled 'Gandhi Bazaar'. It's about a youth of our country who don't recognize the value of our culture.' When asked the reason behind not acting in Tamil films these days, she said, 'I was doing movies in Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada and Bhojpuri. I didn't take the break intentionally.' "If I come across a good story with a meaty role for me in Tamil, I would not hesitate to do it", she says.
