'Chilipili Hakkigalu' a children film produced by C.S.Mahalakshmi, S.S.Ashwathnarayana (America), Jayalakshmi, Balasubramanya and N.Mahalakshmi completed 95 percent of shooting in and around Thirthahalli, Shimoga making use of the rich greenery. Dr.Girish Karnad, Master Kishen, Dattanna, Karibasavaiah, Mahalakshmi, Mukyamantri Chandru and some children took part in the 18 days schedule. Kodlu Ramakrishna is the director and H.M.Ramachandra is the cameraman. J.M.Prahallad has written the story for this children film and noted literary personality H.S.Venkatesha Murthy has worked on the screenplay. V.Manohar is the music director. One of the producers of this film C.S. Mahalakshmi is making debut in an important role in this film.
Child prodigy recognized by GBOWR as youngest film director
Indians have a knack of doing something exceptional to be recognized by the entire world. And this time around a 10 year old boy has done the country proud by becoming the youngest ever film director in the world. Kishan, all of 10 years of age, has been recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the youngest film director in the world for his Kannada film titled 'C/o Footpath'. As per Kishan, he got inspired to direct a film about underprivileged children of the world when he saw street children selling newspapers at the signals. His question was, why are so many children on street when he is enjoying comforts at his home? This made him write a story about this slum boy, who along with his friends, creates a revolution in the field of education with the help of some benefactors. He has been assisted by journalists Udaya Marakkini and Jogi in the cripte department while Mysore Harish has penned the dialogues. 'C/o Footpath', which stars Jackie Shroff in the role of Chief Minister along with Kannada film stars Ambareesh and Sudeep has been dubbed in other Indian and foreign languages too. Kishan is not a novice to the film world. Apart from winning two state awards for his Kannada film, he has earlier also acted in over 25 Kannada films like 'Swathi Muthtu', 'Maharaja' and 'Vamshakkobba'. Before Kishan entered the record books, the title for the youngest film director in the world was held by a 13-year-old boy from New Zealand.
Child star Shalini, Ajith have a baby girl
It's indeed a happy new year for Ajit and Shalini. Remember Shalini? The child artiste who acted with lots of films with stars like Chiranjeevi and Venkatesh? She is best remembered for her roles in Jagadeka Veerudu Atiloka Sundari among others. She then went on to act in a couple of films in Tamil, before she tied the knot with the Tamil star Ajith and settled as a homemaker. Now comes the news that she has given birth to a lovely little girl at Chennai's Apollo Hospital in the wee hours of today. Naturally, both the parents are ecstatic.
'Chali 100°' - A tale of youthful exuberance

Exploits during our formative years stand in good stead molding our futures with lasting impressions. Anita Udeep is currently filming an exciting Telugu film along these lines titled 'Chali 100°'. Having already made two films, 'Knock, knock'.I am looking to marry' and the animation flick 'Gulliver's Travels' in English, it is now a Telugu movie 'CHALI 100 degree'. 'Fun-times' for just about anybody is life after school and college hours. 'What's interesting is that this is a high school film with hardly any classroom scene' says the young filmmaker. The exploits of Surya, B.LO, Tanya, Rohit, Akash and Ralte on hostel campus would most certainly arouse the curiosity especially in the background of the dense forest atmosphere that prevails on their campus. The movie would be mostly on the lives of these young adults in their 12th grade. 'The film will have exciting action and humor laced with loads of twists and turns' says Anita. Music for Chali 100° is being designed in such a precise manner that it plays different characters in the film so much so that the music part would synchronize with the emotions of the lead characters identifying with their innate natures. The film is also planned to have a simultaneous release in Tamil titled 'Kulir 100°'. Anita Udeep, who is a well qualified filmmaker post graduating in Fine Arts specializing in filmmaking from the Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles. She has the unique distinction of being selected to assist one of the greatest filmmakers of our times Steven Spielberg. Anita assisted him for twelve one-hour episodes of the sci-fi series 'Taken' during her stint at Dreamworks SKG at Los Angeles. Chile blaze claims six firefighters
Chilean President Sebastian Pinera invoked anti-terror legislation Thursday after at least six firefighters died in a wildfire he believes was started deliberately. An unusually hot and dry start to the Chilean summer has seen more than 50 wildfires, fanned by high winds, burn down scores of homes and destroy some 50,000 hectares (123,000 acres) of woodland and brush over the past 10 days. Authorities suspect several fires that erupted almost simultaneously in the forest regions of Biobio, Maule and Araucania, some 500 to 700 kilometers (310 to 435 miles) south of the capital Santiago, were the work of criminals. Ten firefighters, private contractors for forestry company Mininco, were trapped Thursday when the blaze they were tackling in a mountain forest near Carahue in Araucania suddenly changed direction. Six firefighters perished in the flames, two were rescued by helicopter but suffered bad burns, and another is still missing. The 10th firefighter, Hector Herrera, managed to escape himself.
