In praise of Chinna Thalapathy
The audio launch of Bharath's Pazhani established his title as 'Chinna Thalapathy'. Almost all speakers mentioned the young hero as 'Chinna Thalapathy'. Bharath was visibly happy when Director S.A. Chandrasekar, father of Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay too referred him with the title. The function was held in Santham Cinemas in Chennai today (December 15). Two of the six songs screened before the event. Sathyaraj released the first copy of the CD, which was jointly received by Jeva, Dhanush, S.J. Surya, Sibi, and Arun Vijay. Srkanth Deva has scored the music for the movie. Khusboo's speech was keenly anticipated, as this was her first function after the controversy over Vallamai Tharayo launch function. But the actress did not touch the issue. She confined herself to the film in which she plays the sister of Bharath. She was quite emotional when she talked about her role. "I don't have a brother. When I see Bharath, I feel like seeing my brother". Dhanush requested director Perarasu in a lighter vein to give chance to others too to write lyrics in his films. All the songs are penned by the director himself. Dhanush expressed his willingness to act with Sathyaraj. He wants to do so even as a villain, he said. Sathyaraj in his speech said that Dhanush would outsmart him if he decided to act with him. AVM Saravanan was among the celebrities, who graced the occasion. Pazhani, Bharath's first ever full fledged action movie, will be released on Pongal.
Sardar Chinnapa Reddy shooting in brisk pace
The shooting of 'Sardar Chinnapa Reddy', presented by Mahbubnagar MP, AP Jitender Reddy and produced by Satya on the banner of Pavan Mani Creations is going on at a brisk pace. The film is based on real life incidents and the producer had donated clothes, food to a total of 10,000 people as part of the reel life which remained a reality in the real life as well. Bullock cart races were also held really as part of the shooting. These incidents would remain a highlight in the film, says the producer. Saikiran and Seema are playing the lead in the film, while Anurag is providing music. SS Reddy is the executive director for the film.
Ekkadikipothavu Chinnavada to be a winner in Overseas too!
Telugu Film market has been growing exponentially with newer avenues opening with the big films like Bahubali doing great. After Bahubali, Nannaku Prematho and A..Aa scored 2 million dollars each in USA, to cement the fact that the movie business with young people looking to visit theatres and families too, is growing in USA for telugu films. This year, Oopiri, Nannaku Prematho, A..Aa, Soggade Chinni Nayana, Pelli Choopulu, Premam, Jyo Achyuthananda became successful in collecting moolah at USA market. 24, Sardaar Gabbar Singh, Brahmostavam also scored 1 million dollars and above, but the films did not end up being successes due to costs involved. This indicates a big boost for Telugu Films in US/ North American market especially.Nithiin proved with A..Aa that you don’t have to be a big star to pull crowds in but involvement of Trivikram Srinivas and Samantha changes the equation though. But Pelli Choopulu is the real big winner with literal new comers finding a Blockbuster success. The trend has been set for the films coming to promise content and US market is up for grabs. Nikhil Siddharth who started concentrating on content with Swamy Ra Ra and Karthikeya, is now ripping fruits of seeds he has sewn with Ekkadikipothavu Chinnavada has the movie is already having a great weekend and opening by the end of Sunday Night is projected to little more than 400k. It is a big step for Nikhil and he needs to keep up encouraging new scripts over falling to some lazily written ones like Shankarabharanam. It is heartening to see in such an economic crisis time in India a movie is doing good in domestic as well as Overseas markets.

'Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavaada' is the title
Without having the title printed, the makers of Nikhil Siddarth's next movie released a poster the other day. The title is finally out: it's Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavaada. If, on the face of it, the genre comes across as belonging to spooky, the caption 'You cannot escape love' makes us wonder if it is surreal, so to speak. Nikhil has back-to-back hits - Swamy Ra Ra, Karthikeya and Surya Vs Surya - to his credit. He has teamed up with the director VI Anand (Tiger fame) to deliver a romantic horror flick. If you take a close look at the poster, you can notice a spirit captured in a bottle tied up with amulets and rudrakshas, all of which leaves us to assume that the story involves a love story mixed up with horror and thrilling elements, thereby justifying the above tagline. The film's first look poster will be out tonight. Teaser of the movie will be out on June 1st i.e. on Nikhil’s birthday.
